In the turbo fiat 500 and the abarth there is a tube that goes from the intercooler piping into the intake it drops the boost by 2 psi so by plugging it you pick up boost boost
Maybe a little but it’s always good to have lag with it actually being a decent sized turbo for a 1.4 with a decently big exhaust housing I find there is less boost drop off at higher rpm and makes power more consistently it’s not a huge power gain it more so stops power falling off I find it’s peaking boost around 18-21 psi and holds around 17-18 psi when before it would peak around 17-18 psi and drop to 14-16 psi I can really say that it will help with lag or not
Personally I didn’t find that the car has that much lag there is a little bit that is also completely normal with all turbo car the way vw reduces lag is by having a very small turbo it’s actually smaller than the abarth turbo the problem with that is the turbo is out of its efficiency quickly and drops boost severely as RPM increases I have personally seen it with a vw on a dyno go from 22psi boot to 6 psi at redline that is because the turbo doesn’t flow enough I think fiat did a good job sizing the turbo as it makes amazing power from 2500-5500 before boost falls off
Well, I watched video twice and I did not catch why to do it. I don't understand why you doing what you doing.

Does it help with turbo lag?
