    Yeah, it’s a pretty easy move to defend against. Unless you can get them to push back into you and not circle. If you can get it though hell yeah

      Against an experienced wrestler or grappler you won't get this takedown too often. Otherwise it's a good takedown.

      Absolutely. Perfectly legal under IBJJF rules and It works very well. And even when it fails you end up in butterfly guard. So its worth trying it out. Hope it helps

    That is absolutely not how you get that throw against anybody that wrestled for 2 years in high school. You MUST be on your toes to get that throw. Throw it from your heels like this and he'll just switch his hips to the inside and land on top of you.

      Thank you for your comment. Every move in wrestling has a counter. And every counter has a another counter. 🫡
      So I will not disagree with your comment but if your arms are locked in place properly and you are high up in his armpits I doubt that he will able to defend it even if you are flat footed on the ground. Thanks for taking the time to comment and watch my videos 🫡 appreciate it

      @@AchillesWrestlingWorldactually this isn't true at all. There are plenty of moves that don't have counters because you've been taken past the point where there is a counter. You're just a really really shitty coach whose ego is larger than his skill set and won't allow him to admit when he's made a mistake which is really fucking pathetic and why you're coaching whatever the fuck this is instead of a college wrestling team.

    Is there any possibility of the opponent mounting you when you do the first move? And if so, how do you avoid it?

    • @AchillesWrestlingWorld
      @AchillesWrestlingWorld  10 місяців тому +1

      With this move, from experience the deeper you manage to get into their armpits with your arms and the tighter the grips, less chances of them defending the move.
      Obviously bridging hard from the beginning of the move, pushing your knees in and up ( like a sissy squat ) will be forcing your opponent to basically do a forward roll/ shoulder roll and increase your chances of finishing the move into a dominant position, and not end up flat on your back with him in mount.
      Hope this helps and thanks for your comment 🫡

    Don't want to try moves that require me to give my opponent double underhooks. I would be better off fighting out of the underhooks than trying this.

    • @AchillesWrestlingWorld
      @AchillesWrestlingWorld  9 місяців тому

      But that’s the idea behind it. What are you going to do if you somehow you end up there?? Become pasive, try to disengage and step back creating space?? That would make you more vulnerable and open to leg attacks. You have to be well rounded and comfortable with the upper body attacks so you are in a position to protect your legs. Plus all bouts start on the feet. And most points get scored there.
      Don’t just dismiss it. Try to give it a go and make it part of your game. Promis will pay dividends down the line. 🙏

    • @sillyarms8493
      @sillyarms8493 9 місяців тому

      @@AchillesWrestlingWorld I agree it has its place. We called this a salto, I've done it in matches. It is best for last min desperation. It would be better to maintain position and never give away the underhooks. Once the underhooks are in I think you should fight for head position and shrug out of the far side hook.

    • @AchillesWrestlingWorld
      @AchillesWrestlingWorld  9 місяців тому

      @@sillyarms8493 Absolutely. That’s why in the video, I mentioned how someone may end up in that situation . The attacking wrestler doesn’t place the underhooks properly, and that’s when he exposes himself to being countered with this move.
      And I agree. Even I would first try to avoid the underhooks. And If they somehow manage to place them in and I can’t recover, that’s when I would try to execute this move as a last option.
      Thanks for your input 🫡
