    From that initial underhook if you take the whizzer you can use it to pull him forward. So you pull forward and he has to follow you and will step towards you. Pick the ankle for an easy takedown. I’ve been catching everyone with that lately. The moment they get any kind of inside control, either the underhook or a lapel grip on a gi I overhook and pull him forward until he steps and then pick the leg.

  • @anthonyvincent397
    @anthonyvincent397 3 роки тому +2

    Dear Coach Brian, at Minute 2:01- could you not feed his right hand wrist of which you have control with your left hand, to your right hand that is on his left thigh? Or better even monkey gripp with your right hand, slightly above his right elbow. Extending your right arm to apply pressure in his left elbow. While having your left arm free to do other stuff at the same time...

  • @kanucks9
    @kanucks9 3 роки тому +2

    These techniques are sweet!
    Do they still work without the flipper - if the opponent just has an overhook with the hand inside? They look like they should.

    • @ray.n_l
      @ray.n_l 3 роки тому

      They work without the flipper. As long as they're clamping down, you can get the drag. While they clamp down, release your underhook arm quickly and drag the arm. You can also pull down on their wrist with your free hand as you release the underhook which will give you a Russian tie position.

      @@elenchus usually guys like khabib like to take the single side underhook but combine it with wrist control. You'll be fine as long as you can control the guys free hand.
