I have a 2001 2500 diesel. I went to the local LKQ Pick and Pull where they had a 2001 1500 SLT. I got the servo , the leather steering wheel with the switches, and the clock spring. I had to fab a little extension for the servo control cable, but the electrical connector was indeed hanging down there ready to plug in. Swapped out the clock spring and the steering wheel and presto, works like a charm! Note: in case you're fitting a used clock spring, there's a procedure to center it before installation. Thanks for sharing @Schneids15
Hey, so if you grounded out your start circuit or neutral safety so you can start it all the time it won’t work. It has to be hooked to your clutch pedal and the circuit must be open for it to activate.
@@Schneids15 thanks for replying. turns out that everything was wired correctly. I knocked a vacuum hose loose during my swap. Found it this morning connected it and boom! Cruise works.
I ran onto this video because I having problems with my 95 dodge . I had a 6 speed conversion done to replace my automatic. I managed to get everything to work . However it did not work today.. so I trying to trouble shoot my cruise . I was thinking well vacuum hose or maybe the clock spring . I hate parts changing but I not sure how trouble shoot it . I appreciate your video. One thing I done is remove the tps but I did not think it was part of the cruise system
Okay so mine is the 2500 Gasser and I just pulled the cruise control.. we’re does the vacuum line go? I looked in the area were I took it from originally but I don’t see it on my truck.
I replaced the vacuum line coming up from my vacuum pump on my 02.. cuz my cruise control was taking really long to kick in. The boots were worn out.. but now when I hit cruise control, it goes full throttle? 02 automatic. Any ideas?
I have problem with my cruse control the switch is ok, the hose are wood bod went I push the button the light doesn't come on, I don't know if the problem is the cruse control servo, please let me know what you think, thanks
Wow thanks for putting this video together. You saved me a lot of time! 👍👍
Not a problem. Glad it helped😃 It killed me driving without cruise control
@@Schneids15I know exactly what you mean 😅

It helps to start by stating what year the truck is.
I did a manual swap and can’t get my CC to work. My CSS is installed and working. I wonder if it has something to do with my OD switch.
