  • This is the edited version of last years video that caused the TSA to shut down the security checkpoint in the Atlanta Airport. This is the video I did and was featured on the PINAC site last year. I wonder if I will get a chance to do a check up on them this year?

A Mobley I believe the person's reply was to let the auditor know he has the right to not show the video to the police or TSA, unless they have a warrant.

By looking at your boarding pass and seeing your flight number, seat number and departure time, they can do a reverse lookup and see who you are. That's why they studied your pass closely multiple times. You can even hear her say something about not having something correct, that's because she ran you the first time and nothing came back. She had no other reason to look at your pass again after you had already shown her and proved you had business there.

ssn708 I agree 100%. Regardless of what the Airport police officer stated, Bunny Boots Ink doesn't have to produce any documentation confirming/denying his reason(s) at the airport. Now, if he were to be passed the TSA checkpoint at the aircraft gate without a boarding pass, that's a different story.

Look at all those bureaucrats....I think I saw just one passenger lol.
Sidenote: 11:41 is the reason you never answer even one question from authorities. When you told them you were a passenger on transit it allowed them to build on that and demand your boarding pass. You should have given them the silent treatment like in your airbase video. They are not there to help you so why answer even one question?? In any case i salute your work.

Pissing people off, being a smart alec, challenging them, & pushing your attitude & camera on others will do nothing but get them fired up & get you in trouble. People do not know the fine details of "1st & 4th amendment rights", nor should they. They are not lawyers. It's not reasonable to think anyone is versed in all aspects of civil law & all it's statutes. Real life doesn't work that way, never has, & never will. Real life works on a much more simplistic level: Don't be a nuisance, obey laws, keep your ideas & opinions to yourself, keep out of people's space, treat them with respect, & you will be treated with respect in return. In other words, put yourself in others shoes, if someone doesn't want to be filmed, respect them!
If you honestly feel your rights are disrespected then try & change the law through the correct legal channels (good luck)! In general, adapt to your environment because it will not adapt to you. Usually you will find the problem is "you" not your environment. This is not about standing up for your rights, people doing this sh*t have some sort of mental disfunction. This is about deliberately looking for confrontation. A normal person would never do anything like this. Life is full of lies & corruption, learn to roll with the punches! Nothing is perfect, but this over the top shit!

Try Dramamine Next time. lol, Just On Suspicion Alone for you shaking the Cops Can Detain you to Investigate thinking you are a Terrorist or Crack head, or Drug Smuggler. Yes just bye you going in there knowing they would look at you Caused a Ripple Affect, and YES that could have made someone 2 SEC late, causing them to miss there flight, and a whole Fish of New Events to happen. But if you went in there, witch you did, then it was going to happen anyway. BUT that aside, one of the main ideas for preventing things like what you have done, is to prevent Crazy People from doing what you did , uploading the videos to the internet LIKE YOU DID, and OTHER Crazy People with Bombs to know the layout, and RUN in there knowing the layout and BOOM. Also Finding out the Computer Systems, and Software (If you got close) and finding a way to HACK into them, not to mention the Social Engineering Skills one can learn from this video, and the knowledge and Details of The Employees. So with that being Said, I am Shore Some Muslim, or Christian Extremist is Very Happy Now and thanks you very much. Just Saying.

    2:55 (COP) "He's filming a sensitive area."
Gee, I'm sorry. If it's that sensitive, I've got some butt-hurt cream in my bag (or pocket).
5:20 So, gentlemen, I've just showed this officer the information directly off the TSA website saying what I am doing is perfectly okay with TSA management. (to the COP) Correct, Officer? (to all the COPS) So what are you all doing here still?
5:45 (to guy in suit) Who are you, Sir? Are you a TSA supervisor? Or are you merely a fellow passenger? (to COP behind you) Officer, who is this man, and why is he standing so close to me? He is making me very nervous. I don't know his intentions.
8:05 WTF are these COPS doing? You have read the TSA policy directly off their website to the first COP. There is no law that forbids you recording their checkpoint, or even their screens.
Police are granted power by the Citizens to enforce the laws that the Citizens enact. They do not have any powers to enforce any individual's preferences unless they coincide with the law. If you prefer to not be punched in the face, Police can arrest me for, or prevent me from, punching you in the face, because there is a law saying I can't do that. However, if you prefer that I don't record your precious checkpoint or it's screens, Police can not arrest me for, nor prevent me from, recording your precious checkpoint, because there is not law saying I can't do that.
9:19 (COP) "Why do think it's necessary to film the checkpoint?"
Why do you think it's necessary that I *_DON'T_* record this checkpoint?
10:07 (COP) Well, you understand why they prefer that you dont film the checkpoint."
No, I don't. The only reason I can think of is that they are intentionally violating rights, or committing some other crimes. What other reason could there be for wanting to not be monitored?
10:27 (COP) "It's more of a policy than anything else, I guess."
NO, actually it's the exact opposite of their policy. I showed the other officer the official TSA policy directly off their website. It says that citizens are welcome to record their checkpoints.
10:35 (COP) "It's not like you're gonna film any state secrets I guess."
That's right. The only secrets I might film here are the TSA agents taking advantage of flyers. I might catch one of them robbing someone's bag, or violating someone's rights. That is the only reason I can see for them being upset over being recorded.
12:07 (COP) "...there's certain equipment that's not supposed to be videotaped..."
Not according to TSA's official policy as shown on the TSA website. TSA policy says they *_prefer_* their screens not be recorded. It does not say they *_forbid_* their screens being recorded.
12:54 (COP) "...so go ahead and go to your gate..."
Or I can just stand right here and continue doing the lawful activity I am already engaged in doing. And if they want to review my footage, they can bring a warrant. Nice speaking with you, you're dismissed now.
17:32 (COP) "Sir, let me see that boarding pass again?"
Maybe you need a picture, Officer. This is the third time you have asked to see it. If your memory is this poor, I think you should take a picture of it. I'll wait while you go get a camera.
    23:20 BRILLIANT!
25:40 I realize this was 4 years ago, but still, WTF is wrong with these people? Shutting down a security checkpoint because a person is filming it from 59 feet away?

In general, one cannot have a reasonable expectation of privacy in things held out to the public. A well-known example is that there are no privacy rights in garbage left for collection in a public place.[2] Other examples include: pen registers that record the numbers dialed from particular telephones;[4] conversations with others, though there could be a Sixth Amendment violation if the police send an individual to question a defendant who has already been formally charged;[5] a person's physical characteristics, such as voice and handwriting;[6] what is observed pursuant to aerial surveillance that is conducted in public navigable airspace not using equipment that unreasonably enhances the surveying government official's vision;[7][8] anything in open fields (e.g., a barn);[9] smells that can be detected by the use of a drug-sniffing dog during a routine traffic stop, even if the government official did not have probable cause or reasonable suspicion to suspect that drugs were present in the defendant's vehicle;[10] and paint scrapings on the outside of a vehicle.[11]
While a person may have a subjective expectation of privacy in his/her car, it is not always an objective one, unlike a person's home.[12]

I will be flying from California to Pennsylvania for the holidays this year, with a newborn baby who will be only 7 weeks old, and I'm very happy people investigate things like this. my only issue is that it seems the average law enforcement employee there does not know the rules on where you have to be and how far back to record. and then they politely answered all your questions, even though you exercised your 5th amendment right when they asked you things. I mean if I was going to plead the 5th, I don't think I'd allow myself to then later ask things of them. 2-way street kind of thing, just my opinion.

I wouldn't have given her permission to see shit for a 4th time. She doesn't need to hold the ticket with you. "You said I said you said that I said". Maybe try to be a bit more in their face and intimidating? BTW have ANY of these people identified themselves with name and badge? Nice camera turn!!! Wow, great job.

TSA does not prohibit the public, passengers or press from photographing, videotaping or filming at security checkpoints, as long as the screening process is not interfered with or slowed down. We do ask you to not film or take pictures of the monitors.Jul 22, 2015

The contact person is David Taft at DHS. His info is available via Google search. He is the individual that kept me from bringing action against cops of the Federal Protective Service, TSA's equivalent when looking at federal property. They were forced to compltet retraining because I was assaulted for recording in a federal facility.
DHS oversees all federal policing agencies and as such they develop the guidelines that will be followed. In this video, the TSA individuals violated federal law and a formal complaint needed to be filed to get them trained as to the actual procedures.

Rest assured Mr. Policeman, when your department gets tired of the lawsuits, complaints, and negative publicity you have bestowed upon them and they consider you a liability without further need of your "I don't serve & protect, I intimidate & disregard" mentality, & you are filling out the unemployment forms, we the people will try to help you assimilate back into society as a minimum wage earner with all the benefits thereof. With that said, We need laws, police & our constitution. What we don't need are officers who go from lawful interaction with the public to unlawful orders & harassment based on there own personal ego under threat of arrest, intimidation or violence. When a cop stops doing his/her duty under the law so he/she can show you who the boss is, using the badge & gun that we the people entrusted them with for lawful purposes only, that's when it's time to put in place on the spot criminal penalties, fines & arrest just like we the people are subjected to when we fail to comply with our laws. Until there is a swift and sure penalty for our citizens who wear a badge and choose to ignore there oath & the rights of even one person, this abuse and disregard for the publics rights will continue. You can be a cop and uphold the laws of the land & the constitution at the very same time. That is what serve & protect means. Anything outside of the law, your oath and our constitution is a policeman playing GOD all by themselves outside of the power we entrust them with. In that case, arrest, fine, ticket, re-training or being fired is in order as to put a stop to those who abuse what we the people have trusted you with, fought for, and died to protect! OUR U.S. CONSTITUTION. Think your above it? That's what the most powerful men & women in law enforcement thought until one day, a recording slapped them down to being a mortal like the rest of us who cherish our civil liberties. You can serve & protect, but not at the expense of my rights. Who's next?

Interesting a police officer carrying a handgun doesn't want to hold the phone because he'll "break it"....hmm. And you are still young...if you eat right and take care of yourself, you may see a day come where you get to an airport and the people who work at it actually know their own rules..Obviously, you struck out here....

I think all airports have 2 separate forms of policing. Both the TSA and a state or local department. I know BWI its both the TSA and the Maryland Transportation Authority. And the reason a police department is at the airports is in the event someone needs to be arrested. And thats why MDTA stations officers at BWI. And from what I hear airport detail overnight can be boring for the MDTA. Hopefully sometime this year I will be hired with the TSA.

@Mark Malone I can't do a direct replay because of your account settings but I shot this video last year and couldn't edit it because my laptop died during my trip. I have been meaning to edit and repost it here for a while now and just finally got around to doing it the other day.

That coffee was obviously full... The cop drank it numerous times without having to swallow it. He was also able to defy gravity a few times and drink it at a 45 degree angle... I believe we have a Nobel winner on our hands.

I mean I get this video. I do! But what do you guys want? Do you not want the airport safe? Do u want to board planes safely without possibly being shot at or blown up?? I’m confused as to why he is giving them such a hard time? These people are just doing their job and this is their job and how they take care of their families. You can’t be mad at these people for simply doing their jobs. This video is ridiculous

Nice how the pig keeps repeating what you say and staring at his coffee instead of keeping eye contact with you. Nice "civilian oversight". Hell ya. I like the sound of that. "I'm with the Civilian oversight committee".

They are supposed to let you film (or record) the checkpoint, passengers going through, TSA people milling around, etc. but they are not supposed to let you record specific screening procedures, such as bag searches, pat-downs, etc.

I don't even think you'll have to show you're boarding pass to an officer who asks for it? I thought you would have to only show it to when you were boarding the plan? Just walk away if you're not being detained. This is complete violation of your rights.

Tell them you're on vacation, traveling, and this is a nice airport and you are documenting your experience. If they have a problem with that they are just stupid. And for now on you should tell them, when they ask why you are shaking, say "it is a medical condition that I cannot help" and that should shut them up fast. If not ask them if they are making fun of your medical condition? The adrenelin answer seems to make them ask even more questions.

Puzzling and hysterical that a cop walking around with a loaded gun is afraid to hold a phone for fear of breaking it. And the guy with go-pro strapped to his head may have looked a little goofy, but there were numerous people in this vignette that looked WAY more foolish...and some of them had badges....but the common denominator seemed to be none of them know the rules.

Somebody please tell me who gave security permission to look like law enforcement a patrolman cannot give them the authority a deputy sheriff's deputy could not give them permission and the sheriff cannot give them permission so how did security get permission to dress like law enforcement if there's a uniform code for each jurisdiction isn't black the jurisdiction for real law enforcement

I have been watching you’re videos and I’m not impressed.Did they violate you’re rights, yes! They got you’re information and you were very nervous so in this case I believe you were 👎 Have a better plan than what you did there. There are more skilled auditors out there you need to learn from. I do believe in the constitution, however you need more training yourself.

you do realize that by filming the security checkpoint that a terrorist could use this footage to find ways to cause harm the united states, even if you think your safe hiding behind your 1st amendment right your potentially putting innocent people in danger, also i wonder why you scheduled such a long layover time between flights, i know its just so you could film and cause a disturbance, lets be honest if the TSA and airport/atlanta police didn't make contact with you, you would probably not post this video. your first admentment test is just someone who wants attention, your first admentment is not to educate people its get attention and spit in the face of authority, you know those people that are protecting you!

Here’s the thing if you know you’re right you shouldn’t talk you shouldn’t be giving anyone evidence that you are recording because they don’t know that you’re recording except for that you told them just stand there quietly telling them you’re recording is giving them evidence and if they deem it a crime you’ve just given evidence against yourself now I’m gonna tell you how it goes you don’t tell them you’re recording and let’s say you didn’t cooperate and you got arrested in your criminal case you ask what evidence does anyone have that I was recording and if you haven’t told them anything then they have none and your case gets thrown out now in your civil case you produce your recording as evidence of false arrest they had no evidence and Your civil case is where you sue them for arresting you for violating your civil right to record the first amendment
