So according to the security gaurd, every car that crosses the rail road tracks going towards the port with a dash cam is in violation of the law?

Cop says at 21:00 "Is there anything you want to tell me about what's going on here?"
    The perfect answer is:
"Yes. When will you guys figure out that the moment you stop confronting innocent people committing no crime is the moment we stop taking video? No one will watch a 10 minute UA-cam video where nothing happens."

Exactly. Their company might have a dress code for their employees. Would they go out onto the street and tell passersby that they need to wear a suit and tie?

The dispatcher has poor listening skills. The officer asked her what crime they described him of committing, and instead of stating "none" she repeated that he was filming towards the port and refusing to Identify himself.

I enjoy the Silent Treatment. It baffles them. The security guard thinks he's a cop. He's not. He's a JOKE.

Awesome. Some people just dont get it. I love it. Hillarious. Informative. As far as people not liking the response, "i dont have to answer that", oh well. Its not rude, its informative. Just because someone, anyone asks you a question, does not mean you have to answer. These people injecting themselves into the scene is what makes me roll. Keep up the good work.

These security rent-a-cops need to be reminded. apparently over and over again, that whatever can be seen from a public location, can be recorded -- LEGALLY. But they are not getting it, are they? My attitude at that point would be, "School's in session. Time for some order-followers to get educated."
Police that know their job and know people's rights and the law, can be a valuable ally. These guys did a good job, and everything was resolved peacefully.
Hopefully the rent-a-cops learned something important, and hopefully will pass it on to their fellow employees. That could make everything go better next time they find themselves in a similar situation.
Good job keeping calm, and saying only what was important. Keep up the good work, Bunny Boots!

This looks like a UA-cam video that I shot at the Port of Brunswick, Georgia a while back. Most of the time I'm Jeff's backup cameraman, but that day it let me loose, damn near didn't make it up the hill. Of course I had a ball, like you did listening to all the BS from the "Rent-A-Cops" . Nice Job and keep up the good work.

I was in the Marines so Rules of Engagement guided how I projected my limited authority as a security officer. Two under trained gate watchers with guns come off their post and walk outside of Doyon's corporate protection utter stupidity.
I had this problem when I worked for Purcell up the hill at the AT&T complex. My idiot supervisor wanted me to approach vehicles of the grounds of AT&T. Needless to say there was no way in hell I was coming off the property because I knew AT&T and Purcell would not have my back off my post.

3:43 - "We got a no photography, no video camera-ing towards the port facility. That's the reason we're hassling you."
BBI says "Can you name the State law, court case, or Federal law that covers that?"
Dude, he couldn't even remember to say that it was a policy, you really think he's going to be able to name off a statute? He was clearly just jabber-jawin' until the cops showed up. At least he admitted they were hassling you.

The great thing about Rent a Cops is that when you sue them, their employer and the company that hired them the money comes out of THEIR pockets and not the taxpayers. Sadly, in this case, the ultimate employer is a government agency.

That obviously doesn't apply to the public servants at the end. They were great examples of fine officers. Hats off to those men.

    • @jgallantyt
      @jgallantyt 7 років тому +2

      E. Duncan, I don't think the first ammendment means what you think it means.

    • @AKSnowLeopard
      @AKSnowLeopard 7 років тому +1

I'm pretty sure I have a greater understanding of it and the rest of the amendments in the constitution than most people. This includes the knowledge of Alaska's state constitution, federal and local laws for the state of Alaska and city of Anchorage. I have experience dealing with people like the individual making the recording, and all they are there for is to simply make other people's lives difficult and their work day harder. What's worse is that you have people like Marc Weeks comparing this fool in the video with those who wanted to changed societal and political injustice like Rosa Parks. This individual wants nothing more than to cause conflict where there is none while hiding behind the laws. Fortunately the individual will likely screw up and eventually be cited under statute 42.20.310. I would also like to make clear that I'm not justifying the actions of the security officer either. It doesn't matter that you're being paid 15.00 an hour, learning the laws as a security officer is just as vital as keeping in shape. Finally, this guy is NO Rosa Parks, Winston Churchill, Harriet Tubman or Malala Yousafzai. It comes down to, If you think your rights have been violated, take it to court and change it from there. Don't waste people's time because you want to be a jackass.

Police dispatcher guilty of stupidity escalation by describing the call as a crime of photographing the port based on the caller merely saying so. If I phone to complain that a waiter is committing the crime of looking at me strangely from across a room does that get repeated as a crime over the radio to armed officers?

This is funny, 1st a contractor of a private security corporation attempts to intimidate a free man by telling him that the port is private property so the constitution does not apply, and then calls the cops when he is forced to admit that the port is a public municipality.
The problem is that the municipalities are not public, they are funded by the public, but ran by private interests that hire private contractors are armed enforcement. Funny. Let's watch further and see corporate enforcers arrive :)
Finally! Some human cops for a change, right on, this is exactly why videos like this are needed in this police state America.
    Great vid +1 !

It was sarcasm. These days just stating facts is just as useful as a morning fart.
Like the whole Ukraine thing, everything Russians do is evil and illegal, everything US does is free and democratic. If completely sickens me that after two decades of on a world tour of destruction, US public in its mass still swallows the most blatant propaganda line hook and sinker.

Anchorage Police and the Alaska State Troopers do have problem officers and not completely good. I've seen videos and filmed one myself involving APD going outside their legal bounds to get their way. The Troopers got in real hot water last year when one pulled over a reporter and took his memory card from a camera because he took pictures of a crime scene near Williow. Overall you will get decent encounters but as I stated there are bad ones with in the force so you should always use caution and document any interaction with at least an audio recording from a cellphone if possible.

My question is why this is even an issue... What do they have to hide? You can barely even fucking see anything from there. Seriously man everyone sits here and acts like the whole world is hunky dory but the second you start filming, taking pictures, or asking too many questions, it looks to me like your rights are no longer rights. WHAT DO THEY HAVE TO HIDE? What is the issue with his camera facing there? Its just a port? I could record everything that comes in and out of there for weeks and if there's nothing to hide then who gives a shit? Wake up people.. this shit scares me everyday im alive. Because im 19 years old with a lot of life ahead of me and im thinking about how shitty it might be when and if I get to having kids..

keep in mind if you are some first year law student and plan to show off your mental muscles, these guys are GED qualified guard dogs. they cannot be much of a challenge to someone who is planning to match wits with them on constitutional issues. picking fights with them is inane and shows little mental acuity.

or... Maybe they are not as dumb as you would like and "picking fights" with them will actually make them question their actions.

these are human guard dogs keeping the boarders safe from terrorists, drug runners and illegals i dont want them questioning their actions at that level. i dont want to have lunch with them, share ideas over coffee or let them date my sister, but i do want them asking everyone coming into this country to prove their citizenship.

will crow To what end? So Obama can give them all social security cards and immediately enroll them on every welfare program available?

Tim Holt President Obama is trying to change the dominant paradigm by allowing illegals to become voters thereby insuring his legacy. we're a socialist nation, like it or not, and our capitalist owners will keep shifting the focus of media and energies of the people until they gain a profit at our expense.

Also, the RCMP was the best police force I've had the pleasure of meeting. I hear that has changed. Now, they act as personal thugs for the government.
