Adam pretty sure Virtua Fighter Remix is basically a remake that was done by AM3! I will say it is shocking in the time between the Japanese and North American launch no improvements were made to the Saturn port of Virtua Fighter!
You should pick up a pal or japanese copy or Dead Or Alive 3 instead, the American version is an earlier build that lacks the balance tweaks and extra content from the other versions
Nice pickups Adam Only a few for me this month the Japanese versions of Seaman 1 and 2 for PS2, PAL Medievil 1 and 2, Cyberia for PS1 and Rayman 3 and Twin Snakes for GameCube.
1:45 ten minutes before you uploaded your Playload, Krikkz informed you that he's releasing the *RGB PVerdrive-1000,* a combination flash cart and RGB blaster for the Casio console
Ah KC Retro, where you were ruminating over a 32x and ended up with like 12 of them by the end of the day😂😂. Great pickups, I guess downsizing my collection from 4,000 to 1800..... is drastic to some but to the average person.... still got a lot of video games stuff :). Yeah like I was telling you 3D Tetris was the last game I picked up almost 20 years ago to complete the set at the time but I went for a good year or two thinking english V tetris was the same.... I will totally probably sell the rest of the games as that 3DS emulator is perfect I can't imagine Nintendo making a first party emulator any better. Thanks again for German Jurassic Park!
Kevin Costner's Waterworld for the Virtual Boy manages to cost 40 quarters just to take one step in the game, just like the arcade game Milhouse plays in The Simpsons
Sorry to hear about your experience with Ninja Gaiden 3. I got the first 3 Dead or Alive games myself a while ago, and my Xbox One managed to read them all. I never did own an original Xbox, so being able to play these games on modern hardware is nice. It does suck when a disc refuses to work. I bought a copy of Ninja Gaiden 3 for the Xbox 360 when it was on clearance at EB Games/Gamestop, but I didn't bother to test it so I got stuck with a disc that doesn't work. Just recently, I bought a bunch of loose games from Facebook Marketplace, and out of all the games I got, TMNT (2007)was the only one that wouldn't work. I would get my games resurfaced, but that's not very convenient for me, and honestly, it may not be worth it since we have the Ninja Gaiden Master Collection and so many other better TMNT games.
Hi Adam - since you’re big into the Saturn, let me know what you think. One thing I only realised now was that games on the Saturn were purposefully designed to be played with composite or RF video adapters - not RGB Scart or component. I never understood why developers would even opt for using mesh half transparency effects as opposed to just leaving them out altogether. That is, until I saw Nights into Dreams played with a composite cable. All mesh effects - a real double whammy when using the ultra sharp RGB output - had disappeared and (fairly) beautiful transparencies took their place. Have a look at the first 5 seconds of virtua cop and the windows of the police car. There’s even a composite vs RGB comparison video. Absolutely stunning how this was supposed to look. Not only is it transparent but has a Color gradient effect on composite. Now, check out the explosion effects of Virtual On. These things are huge and on anything but RCA, everything you see is a mesh effect and clearly not what was intended by the developers. Now, I use RCA into a retrotink + mClassic. The RCA provides the transparencies and slightly softens the harsh 3Ds of the time while the mClassic adds contrast and sharpness back in - but those meshes are gone forever. Now, Wipeout XL (NTSC-J) looks muuuuuch closer to the PS1 version, has a good frame rate and longer draw distance. Meshes are a feature, not a bug. But you only see that when you use composite. If you only use the SS for 2D Games, then your component cable is the best option. I’d love to see people’s reactions to this. It certainly made me think… We were never supposed to see those meshes, ever. What do you think?
I understand how you feel about the Sega 32X pricing. Parts units are worth almost as much as working ones. Sega CD’s are even more expensive than they’ve ever been. Parts units can go for nearly $200 depending on the condition. I don’t get how they’ve gotten this crazy in terms of pricing. It must be the supply is so limited that not many of them are for sale anymore and the demand for that stuff is going strong.
wow that IS a cool saturn, haha. I do have the retrobit version of the clear controller, might have to pick up a second one at some point to replace the stock ones since the cords get funky if you wind them up? also the mrs. just upgraded to an iphone after our trip last month, so I might have to show her that cable maybe she can get some use out of it?! looking forward to all the future project videos!
I had to try my Dead or Alive 3 on my Series X. Works perfectly fine so it has to be a disc issue you have. I have my OG Xbox plugged in at the moment, but it's nice to know it works on the Series X too.
I've had a very similar experience with DOA3 discs... only my issue was they won't play in the OG Xbox but they are ALL recognized by my Series X. I have three DOA3s just floating around the house now.
@@AdamKoralik I figured that at least two of my discs were damaged or in some other way unreadable for my OG Xbox (it also can't read ANY copies of Baldur's Gate DA that I've tried), so the Series X can recognize it IS a DOA3 disc but doesn't have to read any data off of it to play the updated version that gets downloaded. Apparently the Series X reads the barcode in the middle by the hole to determine what the disc it is. If that is obscured that might be the reason it’s not reading. I had the same issue with a game & that barcode was dirty on the disc, cleaned it & it worked. That barcode is an anti-piracy thing.
