Great tone here! Would be great if you release a video with such rock / math prog tone from a free amp app with all additional vsts- I'm really struggling to dial in one.
Great vid and love the tones!! Exclusively playing Djent/Modern Metal in a vid titled "I'm tired of Djent and Modern Metal" hahaha😂I love it!! Turning the gain down doesn't change the style of your playing unfortunately!! lol It's sick, don't get me wrong brother. You write great riffs and play really well. But the Djent seems to run deep in you, my friend 😀hahaha🤣
Just plug into a Marshall and crank to taste. Not a hater, but the biggest difference between an amp and a digital copy, is the compression. Modellers already sound quite "produced", like they have been through a few compression algorithms, and are ready for a final mix. Tube amps can compress, but you have to do something to get there. Clean tones, and edge of break-up tones, as well as lower gain rock tones have little natural compression, throwing big transients which makes them harder, as well as more fun, to play. If you want to get some really juicy (Hendrix) tones from that new Strat, yer gonna need to plug into a Plexi at some point.
Hey man I’m sorry if you’ve answered this before but I’m curious what you’re playing out of speaker wise? Is it a cab or studio monitors? Whatever you’re using on all your videos they sound great!
Nice to hear where "White" on your EP came from. Cool stuff! BTW, I also have Gradient going through my headphones while at the gym all the time, it's great workout music!
How does Tonehub compare to Nerual DSP? Is it more 'out of the box ready to go' then Nerual? I got Nolly and feel like i have to mess around with it heaps to get a decent tone out of it.
I have a quick question. So when you're connected through an interface and using software like stl tonehub, how do you hear the sound? Studio Monitors? Pc speakers?
you can still mess around with the tones in each preset just like you would with say a Neural dsp plugin. The only difference being that in each preset pack you have sometimes 60+ presets ready made and can just click around till you find one you like the sound of. Tonehub is so amazing for home recording and also just jamming/practicing.
Excited for more math rock oriented videos (trying amp sims, tutorials,etc.). Check out a channel called "Let's talk about math rock" if you haven't yet, it's perfect for us math rock nerds nice One Kit Wonder: Modern Fusion demo too :)
I like how the STL ToneHub sounds, but feel like the interface looks and is set up really un-inspiring. I often see myself going towards other plugins because of that.
I mean, if you want a non-modern-metal tone.... turn down the gain, man. It's not rocket science. Three days of fiddling with it and you'll find something that you enjoy. Presets are also cool, I agree, but there's so much these tools can do nowadays
Djent and this modern metal stuff is crap, old school death metal is where it's at. Actual riffs, atmospheres, power and aggression. I would rather listen to the first Deicide album than any "modern" metal. Most of these modern bands have no balls
We're back baby!
Check out STL ToneHub here: stlton.es/M
If you give up on Djent, could I have some your Djent related fiscal gears?
i guess I'm kinda off topic but do anybody know a good place to watch newly released tv shows online?
@Jorge Trenton flixportal :P
@Wayne Kaleb thanks, I went there and it seems like a nice service :) I really appreciate it!!
@Jorge Trenton Happy to help :)
Sick of dialing in modern metal tones. Plays intro with modern metal tones :D
I should’ve re-amped it with clean guitar. That would’ve rattled everyone.
@@KeyanHoushmandLive that would've been quite interesting 😜
Exactly what I noticed right when I heard the intro 😂
@@KeyanHoushmandLive That would be genius!
“I’m sick of dialing in modern metal tones.” - Professional Modern Metal Tone Dialer In-er
Tiny Moving Parts!!!! Love your playing and the sounds! Definitely need to get the Joey Bradford Tone Pack
When will plini call you as a guest I wonder... Sick playing dude, don't leave us :)
archetype plini is good for these tones too i think, also nolly 2nd amp
Nolly amp 2 is sooooo good, clean to high gain, everything!
I love your playing man. I’m definitely not mad at the change in tones. I love both so I’m not complaining
not ironic that what you call 'maths rock' still sounds like dj0nt hahaha
your riffs are always sick man, keep it up
Great tone here! Would be great if you release a video with such rock / math prog tone from a free amp app with all additional vsts- I'm really struggling to dial in one.
good stuff my man! i love these sounds. im getting a modern strat style guitar soon, cant wait to use some of these tones learn these riffs!
Thanks for this dude! Been looking for another guitar plugin and this one looks worthy. Dig your playing too✌🏽
Keyan: “I’m tired of djent and modern metal”
Also Keyan 2 months after: buys a 30” scale baritone and upload a Meshuggah cover.
Not only is that guitar stunning, im super happy about this direction change. Carry on my wayward son
Great vid and love the tones!!

Oh man those opening example riffs never disappoint 😍
Bro have you made any albums yet .. I would like to here full songs . Your playing is amazing . And the tone is so pleasing
Man, I just love how punchy your mix is.
Bro, digging your vids. What tuning were you using here... Drop D?
That tele is literally FLAMING 🔥🔥🔥
Why use a di box with the focusrite?
First sound reminded me of Lower Than Atlantis
Nice tones, it is what I used to hear from Belmont's songs.

Have you tried the Audio assault Sigma plugin?
Hey man I’m sorry if you’ve answered this before but I’m curious what you’re playing out of speaker wise? Is it a cab or studio monitors? Whatever you’re using on all your videos they sound great!
What tuning are you playing these tone demos in? Sounds lush! 👍
That lick aroung 7:40-7:45 had some real Cliffs Of Dover vibes haha
Nice to hear where "White" on your EP came from. Cool stuff! BTW, I also have Gradient going through my headphones while at the gym all the time, it's great workout music!

Practical question - Do you install all these plugins on to your external hard drive/s?
Anyone know what tuning this is in? Absolutely sick chord progressions and embellishments
Maybe try and dial some SRV tones with that tele?
I have a quick question. So when you're connected through an interface and using software like stl tonehub, how do you hear the sound? Studio Monitors? Pc speakers?
Studio monitors or headphones.
Play jazz chords with a 7 string in drop F# and high gain. Perfection
animals as leaders?
the whole point of messing with any of this stuff is to have fun. play around with whatever tones and styles you want

So, when will the math rock album gonna drop then?
How much would you say it cost total to put that guitar together?
are you running via a DI box?
lovely riff!
Is that gorgeous telly in an open tuning?
"Rock tone" :D :D :D
In any case - you have great hands!
Seeing content that isn't obsessively about Periphery on this channel is very refreshing.
I went to get this when it first started but my computer didn't have some component it needed to run. I was super bummed
Is this achievable with Behringer UMC202HD interface?
Yes
love single coil distorted sounds. they SPANK
Exactly what I was thinking lately how every new band is looking for that djenty sound and how I am sick of hearing it.
I expect polyphia covers from now on
bro are you going out with dua lipa or something
Best free VST for metal guitar people? And also anyone have free vst drums such as EZ drummer they fancy sharing?
mtpowerkit for drums or ssd 5.5 drums free
Restrains kit by panda sound
Keyan has a video addressing the first part of your question
Restrains kit + ninja vst amp

nice One Kit Wonder: Modern Fusion demo too :)
Turn that lead up in the mix it sounds too good to be quiet!!!
I like how the STL ToneHub sounds, but feel like the interface looks and is set up really un-inspiring. I often see myself going towards other plugins because of that.
Also nice Jackson ;)
wow man!
I clicked to fast i love you keyan
I love djent metal. and pop songs too. 🤣🤣. metal can't be replaced.
You may change a guitar but Djent is in you.Throw it out first. But what for?
I mean, if you want a non-modern-metal tone.... turn down the gain, man. It's not rocket science. Three days of fiddling with it and you'll find something that you enjoy. Presets are also cool, I agree, but there's so much these tools can do nowadays
you're becoming a dad
It still djents.
