- In this video we assemble the Columbia Coatings Hyper Smooth 03 LED powder coating system and take it for a test drive. I recently built a powder coating oven and a paint booth for this system and this will be its inaugural voyage!

That turned out really good.
Really liking the stuff you are doing. I was on a similar path in my little shop, before I relocated from Vegas to Ohio. All of my equipment is in a 53' semi trailer until I can build a new shop now though :( Might I suggest that you put more info on the items you are using and where to source...maybe links in the description? Great stuff, man!
Thanks I appreciate it! I will definitely start linking more stuff, by the time I finish editing I'm usually marshmallow brain.
You need to adjust the offset (PUD) in the PID to sink in the temps.
I will definitely look into doing that, I'm positive I didn't do it yet.
What do you think of the the Hyper smooth 03 LED after a year?
I just bought an Electron system if that tells you anything. It's not terrible don't get me wrong, but it wasn't good enough and the hardware that comes with it (hoppers in particular) were trash. Their customer service is not great and they curate the reviews on their website. I would not recommend anyone buy from Columbia Coatings. There is a rant video coming at some point in the future when I have more time. I've been meaning to do it for a few months now I've just been buried.
How did you build your paint booth or is it a complete one built already ?
The paint booth is a custom job too, here is a link to the video!

I made all my own hoppers. Cuz there's stink.
I'm trying to work this out with them right now. It's crazy because their system is otherwise really good. The fine adjustment ability of their regulators is exceptional.
What did you make for hoppers?
@@jasonroberts1440 I wound up buying new stems and barb tops from a seller on Etsy, I believe they are called Printrovert3D. Anyhow, they 3D print cyclonic stems and top barbs that swap right in for the Columbia Coatings stems and barbs and they work GREAT. Here is a link to the one I bought:
