Great little fish and another great video! I really enjoy seeing your Celestial Pearl Danio tank. For me it's a perfect mix with the clown kilifish and shrimp. Your videos are what makes things click for me.. I'm interested to put together suitable tank mates for some kind of colony of wild bettas for the 33 gallon low. I haven't had time to do research yet with that particular mix. I just know I like cpds, killifish, and shrimp. If I make it home next week and can put this aquarium together, I will start getting serious on my research and probably revisit a lot of your videos!! I appreciate when you do these kind of videos! I hope you're doing well today! I always hope to see you around! Thank you always for sharing and much love from my family to yours. I hope you have a very blessed day!!!🙏🌿🐟🌱💚
I’m not affiliated with this channel but I wanna ty and s/o for being nice on UA-cam comments. Faith in humanity partially restored. I owned a school of like 24 CPD for a few years and yeah they’re super easy, super chill, I had red shrimps tank mates and they cohabitate really well + shrimp help keep any tank cleaner by eating waste and algae. I am so in love with Celestial Pearl Danio that I devoted two tanks for them exclusively! (One was a bare breeding tank, the other was adorned with lots of freshwater plants and stuff) I have them rocky sub. 30/70 staying on the sandier side of substrate but for real you won’t go wrong with any kind suitable for little fishes. You might have one Male dominate the whole tank of females but that’s just nature! Lots of foliage will make them feel safe and don’t worry about not seeing them thru the foliage because they love to explore and were often times curiously nosing the tank glass and posing for close-up photography from yours truly! They would school up in two or three schools for one minute then disperse and do their own thing. I found them at all levels of depth and maybe that’s because they were the sole inhabitants of the tank. So yeah they’re more pretty in real life and they’re eaaasy to care for and they will spawn in a wide range of conditions. You don’t have to put alot of work in to reap the benefits of these adorable fishes. I recommend finding a reputable seller and really don’t be afraid to ask questions cuz these fish got popular very fast and inbreeding can wash out their orange colour and pearly-ness in their little spots. If you think the photos are too good to be true, or enhanced in photoshop or w/e they are totally not! These fishes are seriously so full of rich colour and they are curious like little puppies lol. For reference I had 7 tanks, 2 breed tanks, smallest was 10g biggest was 160g with like 6 diff species in the big one. They were all fresh water with live plants and I ended up having to harvest and sell my plants routinely because everything thrived so well! My success story to help fuel yours! I dunno if this channel sells fish but I’m gonna link the website I use to buy all my fishes, there is a waiting list for the cpd but I am happy waiting knowing the couple who runs the business are responsible/not over-farming and shipping has always been consistent and successful! Great cust service too. Sorry this ran on really long but I’m passionate about keeping fishes in boxes full of water at my house! Www.aquaticarts.com Edit: oh btw I dunno if this was placebo effect or if it really did help but I fed my Celestial Pearl Danios red worms(it’s been years I don’t remember the market name) but they were red little ringworm looking things I bought and farmed in two tanks of their own, I like to think the red colour of the worms helped bring out my fishes & shrimps red colour(and they were real animals not fish pellets, nothing wrong with fish pellets but you get what I’m saying)

I have never been a fish keeper, but I've been watching videos on the hobby, and I am thinking about doing a first tank. I would be doing a planted tank with CPDs, going for a creek or river look. Appreciate the suggestions for tank mates. Love your tank in this video... What size is it?

Quick question though, the clown kilifish, are they okay in a unheated tank or is your heated? I was thinking of not heating my new tank and so was looking at the CPDs and some cherry shrimp and was wondering if the kilifish would be alright.
Great video! Beautiful tank! How do you clean it? I was scared to put many plants in my new aquarium because I was worried about cleaning (gravel vacuum)..
Hi Blake, big fan here of your shrimp/galaxy/killifish aquarium. I’m actually planning to put these three species together as well. I have a few questions and would really appreciatie it if you answered. What temperature are/were you holding the aquarium? (I was thinking 24 degrees) And how did you manage to feed the three species seperately?
Yep 24 degrees is what i keep them at. Feeding is pretty easy, flakes to stay at the surface for the clowns and anything for the other 2 will do just fine
@@BlakesAquatics oh yikes i did not hink they would in that case i will just get alot of emereld dwarf rasboras and endlers and maybe some clown killis if they are shrimp safe.

Will 5 clown killifish, 6-8 CPD, 6-10 ember tetra OR 5-6 blue emperor tetra, and 6-8 pygmy cories, would i overstock my tank? Already have 4 of the pygmy. Nothing else
Mine are spawning so can you provide any tips from hatching, feeding, raising, separation of M/F, water conditions for babies etc. I have 6 females and 1 male. Eggs are being laid daily but Rumynose are likely eating them before hatch. Thx in advance.
in summary, feed vinegar eels, then progress to micro worms then baby brine shrimp. I dont separate them, same water as the parents, between 6 and 7ph, remove any other fish from the tank, babies are going to be incredibly tiny

White Cloud Minnows would probably work well. They're bold, peaceful and don't need a heater.
