- Stanford researchers have determined that Blue Whales in Monterey Bay are ingesting million of pieces of microplastic each day. John Ramos tells us the impact is still unclear.
I think part of the solution has ro come from consumers changing their consumption habits. Personally, I try to cut my total consumption and I try to use less plastics.

This really needs some scienctific solutions because people are selfish for clothing packaging
Keep in mind, a HUGE amount of Ocean-Garbage(Plastics etc.) come from Asia (spanning multiple continents coming from the Eastern hemisphere). It is not just us here in the USA, we just happen to be more aware than the rest of the world and happen to care is why this is being shown in the news.

Sadly part of those wastes came from the West exported as literal and actual wastes to Asia for $$$. Asia is a dumping ground of the West.
Actually, our waste water does not go into the ocean. My laundry micro plastics are going to the water treatment plant. Let’s focus on the real source of micro plastics.
Sorry, but I've seen too many videos and seen it for myself at the beaches that our waste does go into the ocean, don't be so ignorant.
@@mrsleep0000 That is run off, and is a significant source of contamination. The reporter said fragments of our laundry go into the ocean and unless there is a sewage plant failure, that would not happen. Why so salty?
