I found it's not just speed. Interestingly where I have my AX3, the WiFi from my ISP provided router was testing stronger and faster than the AX3, but in real world situation, the original ISP router gave intermittent buffering drop outs, while the AX3 remained stable and not once threw up a buffering message. It seems it's signals are much more stable. It was used in AP mode.

i want your advice im gonna buy a 5g sim card and i want to buy a router but which router is better for my small home and number of users maybe around 6 users only + i want it for playing online games so im between the Huawei wifi AX3 and the Huawei 5G CPE Pro and as you Huawei 5G CEP pro is more expensive so which one is good for me i wnat your answer

@NiuxTech, Could you do a Redmi AX5 vs Huawei AX3 comparison? AX5 believe to have the same specs as AX1800 but I'm curious with the antennas sticking out of the box, not sure if it helps in transmission.

Hi, thanks for watching. I think you cannot do that, only between Xiaomi routers. Not 100% sure though, I have not tested.

How big is your house? I guess 2x AX1800 would give more range, meanwhile - AX3600 more stability + performance + some extra features.

When trying to link to Huawei router for first time, just keep mobile data off and leave WiFi on it will link instantly or use the NFC tag on the router which does the same
As far as I know AX3 doesn't have NFC Support :) AX3 Pro does tho
Hello I was wondering if I can use the Xiaomi 1800 as a mesh network with 3 xiaomi nodes connected together via Ethernet cable for backhaul . I currently have google WiFi set up like this.

Yes, some people also confirmed that it works if you set region to Mainland of China. For me it didn't work when I was making this video review, but it seems they have fixed it already.

@@Vin5ky AX1800 has better performance results on 5Ghz mode and I liked settings accessibility more on it.
Unless you only interested in 2.4Ghz - then choose HUAWEI AX3 or even better AX3 Pro.

Huawei AX3 performs better than Redmi AC2100. Even though you don't have wifi 6 devices at this moment, in 1-2 years will get more and more of them, so AX3 is a good choice then thinking about future perspective.

For serious gaming you better use LAN cable. 5Ghz is better on AX1800.

Well, basically you can setup any router to work as repeater. If not in easy way - then in more manual. There are a lot of tutorials how to do that :))
@@NiuxTech yes but in this if they don't come with it, it's hard to get around without messing with firmware if possible..
I have 3 of these Huawei ax3 Quad-Core with NFC and mesh network is painless. If it's Huwaei routers then all you need to do is plug in one router into the other via ethernet cable and all settings will be copied instantly without you needing to do anything. Just tap the phone with NFC on to the NFC tag on the router and add to the Hi-Life app (please keep mobile data off and WiFi on when trying to connect to the new router for first time when adding to hi-life app or or won't be detected in the app till you switch off mobile data and mesh will be automatically set up then can disconnect and mesh with just WiFi of needed or any combination of the 2. With other brands you can manually add via the app as repeater using the dedicated button in the app for that. The web interface is also clean and easy to use. Firmware update, WiFi channel optimising etc is just a button press on the app and painless.

I'm in the market for buying a good router for about the same price, maybe a bit more ( 80-90$ ), and it's been about a year since this vid got released, think there's something better for my money, or should I stick with one of these two? Also, any concerns about the security regarding these routers?
I wouldn't concern much about security and for 90$ you could actually find already Xiaomi AX3600, which I am using as my main router now.
@@NiuxTech Ah, I'd love to get that one, but it costs 140$ here, and I can't get anything online. The only WiFi 6 options I have, and can realistically afford are: TP Link Archer AX10, ASUS RT-AX55, Huawei AX3 ( Dual and Quad versions ) and lastly the Xiaomi AX1800

Hi. Actually I have never had a problem with mi wifi sign in. It simply stays signed in all the time for me. Maybe you could check if there any APP update or maybe firmware update for router?
If case like this, should i go for a mesh wifi a better choice?
I would go with Xiaomi AX1800.

Do not buy the AX3 it does not have a 5GHz amplifier. You have to take the AX3 pro which is more efficient and the best in its price range.
AX3 still works pretty decent as you can see from speed test comparisons in my video review :)

You can only use AI Life app to setup AX3 by setting app region to China :) AX3 Pro user here
Oh and you'll also need to install HMS Core after ya switch to China

fix the apps...of ax3? try to register account in huawei china account then put in huawei app al life.... needs huawei china account so thats why u cannot link the ax3.... search google..try search...huawei account china... then click the 1st one... then reg.... after reg...put the account in your downloaded al life apps.. ...solve👍sam

your video is wrong. you test the INTERNET speed via wifi, and NOT the wifi speed test. you should ONLY check the the wifi itself, which can be done with IPERF
Lets agree, 90% of ppl would exactly use internet via wifi, so I hope my tests (esp range/speed) are useful. Cheers!
@@NiuxTech yes, but it's misleading, for example some people have poor connection, let's say 50mb or less but would like to verify their router is capable. The internet speed test has a large variance each second, whether its different servers, interferences and so on. A pure wifi speed test is way better.

@@NiuxTech Thanks but you can use your phone and laptop for local transfer file, it still no difference if WAN only 1000Mbps (GbE) if WAN 2.5GbE (2500Mbps) maybe slightly faster
