This is a nice idea but without changing the height of any pages you'll get some pretty nasty Z fighting, and it's a little unrealistic since it's just a flat plane. I think I can use the general idea here though. Thank you.

Yep, I did some Z fighting.
How would you make it less flat? extract depth map from original image and add that?
