@@BradtheBuilder that would be great. Honestly everything I’ve watch so far has been good. I went through the carpenters apprenticeship almost 30 years ago and loved the work but the union for many years was shady with several Business Agents going to jail and it was hard in the slower months trying to raise a family. I decided to go to school for mechanical engineering and it was a better choice. When you asked one of your framing contractors how much they were paying it reminded me of the scale I started at in 1990. 45% as a 1st year apprentice was $7.92 an hr residential and $14 and some change commercial/industrial. Scale went up 10% every 2000 hours ( around a year ) if you worked a full year without layoffs. I lived in northwest Indiana outside Chicago and it was tough with the steel mills laying off or closing down. Sorry for being long winded. You do beautiful work and it’s easy to see you and your company have some integrity. In todays market and economy with questionable work ethics from subcontractors to suppliers they can make or break a sub par company. Thanks for letting me ramble. LOL. Have an awesome weekend !

I think the behind the scenes stuff fits really well with this channel especially cause u do high end construction and so it's really cool to see all the things that need to be done that differentiate a regular house-build from a high end project. I think also in the future if u use a more insructional style for some videos like "this is how we do x" or "top 5 things you to do for x" it will make it much easier to organize those videos along a central theme that make them easier to title and consume and then if u have that in addition to the vlog style videos you can cycle through formats and be less likely to overuse either. Really like these videos hope u stick with it.

I have always dreamed of being a homebuilder. Used to have my GC & RE license when I was 20 but never acted on it. Went to corporate software sales and now at 57 Years old just miserable & stressed. 😢 Is it possible to change careers & be happy building. How can I start… would be a financial step back but what is your advice? Pretty good with homes/residential topics. Work for a builder, re agent, etc… not too many jobs with home builders or maybe not looking in right spot?
It’s never too late to do something that you enjoy! If you have the funds to build a spec house or model home, that would be the best way to get started . 1st: research the market and find out where a price point or style of home has not been filled yet to find your nitch. 2nd: design, a home and price it (get bids) out to make sure you can stay on budget before you start construction. Also, this will help you find the right subcontractors… Suppliers can help you with people they think are good at their trades. 3rd: find a lender and a real estate agent that will help market your product
I worked for a fastener company and helped design a hanging system for a UPS system. It was at Stennis space center and was underground deep deep... And that's all I can say about that...
I've built a few buildings and houses. I've never seen the foundation poured after the framing. Is that common or specific to certain areas. Obviously it's framed on a footing but never seen it exposed to the ground like that. Is there any special prep needed for that method? I guess I'd like to see that and the pouring process.

More of this. This was really good and informative
Oh? Ok… thanks I’m on it❤️
Great video Brad! Hey, if you need to get rid of the hats, I’ll take one! Thanks!!
I'd like to see more of your house just to see what a builder does for his own home and more follow ups on the guys house that's in a chair.
First time watching your videos, I love it!
Yay! Thank you! Please stick Around and subscribe 👍
Great video, I enjoyed this!
Definitly want to see a house touring. And a tour of your sons church bus.
I love your sense of humor
This man deserves a show on HGTV.
all content is good content. keep it coming.
Hi Brad , some how I lost track of you.
Gotcha Now!
Sure this is something different, and your Son's Bus.
You and your Crew are very talented 🙌.
JO JO IN VT 💕😄
I’m glad you are back! We’re considering moving because we’d like to try live on an acreage
I live in a neighborhood where I built several houses... not too many people can say that..congratulations sir
You are right! Most people do not like their builders after the home is built ( usually it’s the builders fault!
Id love to see the bus tour!
Brad would love to see your home. I bet that it is amazing.
hehehe... "divide and caulker", I´ll definitively use that!
Good stuff, keep putting these videos out. Do you do any land development?
thanks Ivan! I’m getting ready to develop 100 acre RV resort on the Platte River in Nebraska
@@BradtheBuilder good for you! You got a fan here in San Antonio Texas.
@@ivanfraire9042 thanks Ivan!, I really appreciate that🤠👍
I worked for a fastener company and helped design a hanging system for a UPS system. It was at Stennis space center and was underground deep deep... And that's all I can say about that...
Brad what 3D program do you use? The renderings look great
I use SketchUp and V-Ray for the 3D renderings.
Thanks for watching 🤠🎺
House Tour for sure
Watching you clear your desk Ha Ha
I’ve been trying to clear off my desk for years🙆♂️
Definitely more church bus
I've built a few buildings and houses. I've never seen the foundation poured after the framing. Is that common or specific to certain areas. Obviously it's framed on a footing but never seen it exposed to the ground like that. Is there any special prep needed for that method? I guess I'd like to see that and the pouring process.
I'm not in the construction business just helped built a few buildings, sheds, garages and churches since I was a teenager.
It might be odd but I love building for fun. I'm happy with a pile of lumber a saw and some hardware.
I’ll have to watch the video again to see what you’re referencing so I can better answer your question
I enjoyed your day.🎉
Thanks for watching 👍🎺
I would love to tour the church bus
I will work on marking a video for everyone to tour the “Church Lady Bus”. It has turned out great!
Hey Brad, your brad the builder hats are sick!!! Is there somewhere I can get, like a website or something???
Let me work on that… This is all new to me! I will have to get help from Flair on how to set this up 🤠
The deck built for the view? Wait until someone builds a 4 story house in front of them 😂
They can only build so high with the restrictions in the area! I hope we are good 👍
I see a s2 trash can has to be around Fremont or valley Nebraska? Am I close lol
Yes!
I think we’d all love to hear about the financing/money portion of this. Do you build with your own money or clients pay up front?
My clients, all finance their own homes… I will help them line up financing with a couple of bankers that I use on a regular basis
Very Kool Brad!
Thanks
When you write on the walls it’s smears for the us contracted painters just a tip !
I use a crayon and a painters seem to be OK with it so far… My intentions is to communicate and not make it harder for the subs🤠
@@BradtheBuilder interesting I’ll definitely recommend to our supervisors !!
Lol I like you way more than my crab ass GC up here in NH, my god you even communicate with others! Good stuff brotha.
See if you can get some of those guys to subscribe and hopefully change the way they behave and treat people❤️👍
@@BradtheBuilder will do, us real ones know it makes all the difference in the world!
