This is a worldwide exclusive. A close up of these two yachts, both owned by russian oligarch Andrey Melnichenko worth a staggering $1 billion.
Sailing Yacht A launched in March of 2017. It has rarely been spotted in the wild.
Super Yacht A was launched in 2008 and to my knowledge it has never been filmed closely in 4k.
In May, for the first time ever, both of these yachts were in the bay of Monaco for 72 hours only.
On two of these days the weather was not good for filming.
With a tight window only, I managed to eternalize this unique moment on 4k film forever for your viewing pleasure.
These two yachts may never be within a 1 mile radius of each other ever again.

I think few people realize that this is one of the largest sailing vessels ever built. Faster than the best tea clippers. And it looks unlike anything ever seen on the seven seas before... What an utterly stunning design...
It is stunning!! However, it's top speed is listed at 21 knots. The 1852 clipper Sovereign of the Seas was regularly clocked at 22 knots. Also, Sailing Yacht A is assisted by diesel/electric powered 5-bladed controllable-pitch lineshaft twin screws.
Negative. It’s not one of the largest, it is, the largest. And also the ugliest sailing yacht ever-built. It would behoove you to Google sailing yachts between 150 feet to 250 feet and then you’ll see what I’m talking about why this one wins the ugly duckling title.

People with networths over 10B, imo, should be forced to donate atleast 5% of their net worth to charities and to end world hunger, because let's be real, 1B can last you an entire life time
I don't care about the owner. Just thank you to him to give a chance to humans to create this marvelous artistic boats. I saw the Sailing Boat A at thé Cap de Nice this morning. Honestly, it was à magic moment.

I wouldn't spend that much on a yacht even if I had the money to if it didn't have at least one 100mm cannon, and some little ones too, with an armed crew, air radar scanner and torpedos from underneath the water, with little boats that can be deployed to board other ships oh and like grapples and shit okay basically a modern day pirate warship.

Less than a billion dollars... Two amazingly impractical yachts - that are amazing to look at. Specially trained crew for SYA - as there's not another ship like it! Good to see Melnichenko paid his bills and got it out of Gibraltar impound... Some great images. The resolution is excellent! Although, if I was onboard I'd probably shoot your drone down.

This yacht seems to built to avoid observation from cameras on boats or on periscopes of submarines, and to prevent invasion of navy SEALs from sea. The bridge and passenger in it can't be watched except from ahead, its windows are all enclosed with shutters. There are no step area around hull, and her deck level is very high.
Finally, this yacht equips sails, therefore is able to voyage without engines and propellers. This means she can voyage perfectly in sound stealth to avoid sonar contact from submarines.
I also heard this ship equiped an anti-CCD camera system which detects CCD sensor and irradiates laser to the camera.
May this yacht used illegal business meetings of international level such as smuggling ?

They ha an article about the power boat in a recent issue of "BOAT" magazine, along with a feature on the architect. It actually looks interesting, and is a sensible design. I actually like it.

first, that this is a 3D video, mainly from the calm water that looks like 3d.. oh my.. this is clearly a video captured from a phantom in 4k auto settings without any ND filter..
and second, this is great footage.. Its actually horrible camera movement.

I love sailing yachts, BUT, this just goes to prove that money doesn't guarantee good taste, at least on the exteriors. The motor yacht looks like the designer worked on the front, then took a day off for the rear 😂
