- Based on Bob Wright's arrangement, which in turn was based on Eubie Blake's arrangement. James P. Johnson claimed John "Jack the Bear" Wilson was the actual author of this tune.
Wonderful how you could make that clunky piano sing without missing a note. I kept expecting a chandelier to fall or picture to come off the mantle. Maybe next time.
Great performance, many congratulations!!!
Thank you! I learned this from your transcription initially (and then added touches influenced by the late Bob Wright and my mentor Terry Waldo) so it's a real honor that you enjoyed my performance! All the best, CJ
@@CharlieJudkins69 So happy to know you learned this from my transcription initially, and I love those added touches influenced by the great Bob Wright and Terry Waldo. Also... that beautiful tricky passage at 1:00-1-06... Wow! Many congratulations on your SUPERB playing! All the best, RS
hi, do you know where can i find the sheet for this tune?? thanks
I learned it from Riccardo Scivales excellent folio "Harlem Stride Piano Solos", and added some touches of my own, and ideas from Bob Wright's private recording as well as from my mentor Terry Waldo, who learned it directly from Eubie Blake.
Hey! I absolutely love this. So much so that I want to learn it myself. I was woundering if you could link me to where I can purchase the music sheet for this. I can't find it😔 Would really appreciate it!🤗
Are you sure? Six flats then on to seven (I presume).
I don’t recognize that “Goose Step” you have there...is it any good?
It's a Brainard publication from around 1890 I think... I haven't played through it yet but I'd be happy to send you a scan!
