I just love how she decided to direct this cause all the other women directors she wanted were busy and now she's directed every music video since! (except I Bet You Think About Me which was Blake Lively)
Yay been waiting for thisss Her voice gets everyone trust me, I always jump after a scene of her as Tyler opposed to in the chair I really love how crystal clear her vision seems to be and how passionate she is about her projects It's also great seeing bts footage of her freaking out over a shot that looks as she envisioned it to look like, she is so genuinely happy and excited about that to this day... It's amazing to see her bts footage from Debut and Fearless era for example and from lover and midnights and see how she only gets more and more involved as time goes on yet her excitement level still seem to be the same... it is adorable imo It's always been clear that music videos and film are a natural extension of her storytelling and I honestly am still surprised how some people were wondering about her getting into directing because it feels so natural Even her bts videos are a great form of story telling I believe... like you said they seem different to most other bts videos... I believe they are more elaborate and structured and therefore don't feel like a random dump of footage from bts but very purposefully collection of it... i would not be surprised if she wrote out a little treatment for them (especially bc mostly there a several ones that each focus on one part of the filming process) BLONDIE PLANS EVERYTHING I just know it If I am honest, I am scared of her mind sometimes not only because of her amazing ability to craft stories through lyrics and melodies or skills at translating those words into visuals and all of that but especially because of her Easter eggs like she like to allude to/hint at projects 3 years in advance, everything can and will mean something and it's definitely fun to hunt for all of it but I seriously wonder how she thinks of all of it... her mind She truly is a mastermind
So as a gay man, I am questioning my sexuality being attracted to Tyler Swift… 😂😂😂 And you sure are a breath of fresh air to watch! Love your knowledge & your positive vibe! ❤
Heh, that reminds me of seeing images of some of the handsomest male Hollywood celebrities being reimagined as women, back in the early 2000s, using CGI to go beyond the limits of makeup and practical effects. Folks like Denzel Washington and Tom Cruise. Yeah, they made for quite pretty women. Facial symmetry and proportionality play big roles in attractiveness, regardless of gender.
Hey Josh, I've been (binge) watching your Taylor Swift MV's reaction videos and I just want to say that I'm enjoying all your reactions, learning a lot about production in an editor's perspective, and generally being entertained by your videos. Please keep on creating these reaction videos, they're awesome! P.S. I've seen your reaction video on The Man MV, and I can see how great and respectable of a husband, a father, and a man you are. You're now one of my favorite UA-camrs. Well wishes to you and your family!
OMG the Bandit shirt just makes me like you even more! Haha I actually really love hearing the more technical side of things, so please keep doing that!
Loved this video! I really enjoy to watch this stuff even tho I don't really understand technology but it's so interesting. There two more! Not just one. One is called "Becoming The Man" and "The Umpire", the umpire is really short, less than a minute, but it's really funny.
This video was Taylor's first time directing. Amazing. She has been in many videos over her career, which probably did lend to her recognition of what she was going for. She also directed the 10 minute film of, All Too Well, and more recently, Fortnight. There are Directing Behind the Scenes videos for both.
Glad you’re back, hope all is well! Great reaction and knowledge about the technical stuff! Told you it was crazy hearing her talk in “the man” makeup. Looking forward to the next one!
Super glad to have you back. I love watching your expertise break down on something I know nothing about lol. Also could not help but notice the DAD shirt. If that was why you were away, MASSIVE Congratulations!!
I just shared the previous video with a friend and we rewatched. Then I saw that you liked my comment and I was like "I bet it's going to be a while before he does the extended version of this".... And then I saw the suggestions... 😂❤
I love your breakdown! I've always been fascinated by the whole filmmaking process and to see you see analyze the works of one of my favorite musicians is awesome! i'm learning a lot from your commentary. There are two other BTS videos from "The Man" music video btw! you only reacted to the first one.
again, i know you may not want these reactions on your channel, but taylor's interviews during the shortfilm process go into so much of the creative, technical and cinematic process of her directing that i just think it would be really nice to hear your thoughts and your reactions on that
Glad to see you back making content! Your channel is so down to earth, and you make amazing educational points in every video. As a creator myself I got to show my support ❤ Also, my girlfriend and I love your Bluey shirt. She works with kids so she's a big Bluey fan, haha.
Thank you so much! That means a ton to me! Lol I’m glad you guys noticed the bluey shirt. It’s an amazing show 😂 sometimes I think I’m more into it than my daughter 😂
So funny that I found your channel last night and watched all your Swift videos, but was like, 'h, it's been a month, if I comment now am I gonna make him feel like he has to post more?' And then while I was still waffling, you came back! All the videos I've seen of yours so far have been great. Curious about why you zoom in/out in your own videos, though, since it's pretty normal in this genre of video to just use static shots, which seems like it would be less work for you. Not complaining or anything, obviously, just something I noticed. Would totally love the other BTS videos! Definitely looking forward to future stuff from you. :)
Welcome to the channel! I'm so happy you found me! Good question! So that is something that I thought would make my videos stand out a little. It's a simple technique to do, takes little time, all while giving some "movement" to my static shots. I find when I watch videos that have even the slightest movements, I tend to pay more attention to what they are saying. So, thought I would try it out! Thank you again friend!
@@Videoeditorreacts I see! I did notice it, so that makes sense and seems to be working! Your lighting is also always really good. Big fan of lighting, haha. So much stuff these days is very...dim. Thanks for the answer! Take care.
It would be interesting to get your take on the We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together music video and if it's easier or harder to work with oners like that in post.
Part of what helps Taylor look convincing as an alpha male type character, beyond the makeup and wardrobe, is how tall she is. At 5'-10" she's at the average height of an adult American male.
Josh I don't know if you know this Cuz all of her video songs are from her imagination the song we watch is how she imagined herself yes literally Every single piece of it is calculated but again there are few flaws here and there And that It is so so touching and relatable like her short film all too well my god isn't that a masterpiece and won Video of the year award from the Grammy's
I know its been a year, but if you think Taylor's mind is amazing when it comes to creating a music video, you should check out the btw of her making a song.
Can you please do the cardigan mv because I've always been really curious on how they made it. I really love watching your explanation videos they're really informative and entertaining
More technical, please! As an amateur photographer and videoographer, knowing more about the gear and its purpose would be great. What would this music video cost? Her videos are awesome and worth every cent. Seeing her involvement in the whole production process as well as acting, blows me away.
That’s awesome to hear you like this stuff! Oh boy- the price for a music video like this I’m sure is in the hundred thousand dollar range. If not, it’s close to it!
she's a good looking man, like a certain actor. Im sure she paid everyone well. Yes, she loves cats, her oldest is the most famous IG celebrity cat and worth over a million from being a IG influencer. She has 2 others
lmao the voice gets me every time it’s so funny😭

@@Videoeditorreacts Can you do analyse an Official Nightwish Video sometime. Or an Official live of Nightwish?
So happy to see you're back! This was really interesting to see you break down some of the stuff.
Can you do Taylor’s “I Can See You,” video? It’s her newest video. It’s for her recent Speak Now re release and it’s a vault track.
Thank you! Enjoyed this. There are 2 other BTS for The Man (3 total). Her dad is in the tennis scene one 😊
they probably have two cameras for the bts cause she was filming a documentary about her life at the time!
glad to know everything's okay and to see you back!

X-OCN ST refers to a Sony file , similar to a RAW file. It tends to be smaller in size than an actual RAW though.
Thank you so much! I can honestly say I have never shot in that before! Thank you for clearing that up!
Shot on a Sony Venice - was my guess and confirmed a minute later in the LUT name.
