Hang in there and get well. You have been so helpful to my wife and I! We both recently started Omnipod 5.

Thanks for another great video..dealing with this now too with Covid..I find it most difficult to manage my diabetes when there are lots of variations going on and I'm out of my normal routine so you will likely cover this in your travel video but eating out at new places, trying different foods, travel and variable activity levels all makes things trickier to navigate personally..loving this series x

When my daughter was sick a few weeks ago, she had crazy low blood sugar. It was so bizarre! I was so grateful she was on the pump instead of shots because her regular basal would have been terrifyingly too much. The next pod after she felt better was a little rough because then it wasn't doing enough basal, but that was still worth it! With every other illness she's had she's been the regular high. Makes you appreciate what our bodies are doing in the background to get us well and what y'all t1ds have to do to keep in range. ❤️

So strange that she had that low! And yes so much appreciation for our bodies!!!

@@megtypeone Yeah it was so weird! It was like 3 days of low sugars. She had to force herself to eat just to get her pump to turn the basal back on. (and it's not like she was throwing up either)

great video. I find it stressful when my daughter is sick. She normally runs a bit higher than normal too but I don't like to over correct because I am worried that she is going to get sick to her stomach or not want to eat. I don't typically subscribe to the "better high than low" but do somewhat when she is sick. Hope you are feeling better! Covid AND the flu shot in one day!!? Wow, that would suck!

Yes! I totally know what you mean about overcorrecting. Nausea and vomiting add a whole other layer to diabetes and being sick beyond just this! It's not easy!

Nice vlog, hope u feel better soon. Can you pls do a clip when you were younger/ teen and talk about your blood sugar. I have a teen, who has a type1diabetic and I would love to hear about other's who have been dealing with this health condition and their experiences. Stay safe.💛
