Jacksons opinions on dream did not age well. dream straight up admitting most of the allegations were true. same with the gumball video, came out that most of it was directed at dream, in response to him finding out about about the underage girls. plus theres also the fact that he did in fact make up with the driver, and paid him a huge tip as an apology. also, kaya, and jackson. you cant legally drink till ur 21, so doing stupid stuff when you are barely 21 and drunk makes perfect sense in america. especially if you likely have little experience getting drunk. not to say that gumball's va didnt drink at all before 21, or that he was a perfect agnel, just that culturally, thats a weak stance.

Also, Thanksgiving is without a doubt the most wholesome American holiday, but how much you like it really depends on how much you like your extended family or whoever you spend it with

To clarify: someone in a tipped position will never, ever make less than minimum wage. If a person working for a tipped wage doesn't make minimum wage with tipping wage + tips during a pay period, the company has to reimburse them so that their total income during that pay period is minimum wage.
That being said, if you don't make enough in tips and the company has to pay you more than other waitstaff to make up for it, you will likely be fired. The whole system is stupid.

Going to have to disagree with Charlie on service fee making sense, the service fees, delivery fees, and any other fee charged doesn't go to the driver, the driver makes a flat rate of like $2 per order and the rest of their pay is subsidized by tips - so the service fee doesn't make too much sense whenever the driver sees none of it and prices of items ordered are already inflated as well.
When you get the tip revoked, it doesn't get taken out of the drivers paycheck, the company just eats the costs.

The Blair Witch Project, while not amazing by any means, was interesting to watch at least once. There's plenty of boring bits, and it isn't particularly good if you try to believe in the more supernatural interpretation, but one of the things I liked about it was that it did feel kind of real. Real as in a few college kids went out in the woods and died. It felt to me like THEY might have believed it was something supernatural happening, but to me it felt like a couple nosey out-of-towners were asking a few too many questions, and an almost-joke on them got taken too far. Like real people were following them and messing with them and killed them. I think that interpretation makes the movie more interesting and potentially scary. That said, I totally understand if you hate on the movie. It's not amazing. But, like I said, it's interesting to see at least once, if for nothing else than its importance in the genre.

I'm going to blow your minds. Servers make way more from tips than they would if they were paid a livable wage without tips.
Servers will figgt the abolition if tips tooth and nail because they make so much money from them. They'd have to make like 20 dollars an hour or more to match what they make from tips.
They just use their small paychecks as a gaslight to make people sympathetic and tip more. The paycheck is usually small because the taxes from their yips are reflected in the paycheck. So if they work 40 hours and the paycheck says something like $20, that means they made a lot of money because they paid over $200 in taxes.

It's funny because my parents are immigrants from Asia. They cook all year round healthy food for lunch and dinner, a full course and balanced meal. When Thanksgiving comes around, my mom does the exact opposite of what most people would do in America then; buy take-outs, fast food, and junk food in general.

It's so weird how a lot of people forget pre covid times when it comes to common winter time effects.
Winter comes around, and the common sickness issues that happen all winter are suddenly covid related.
I'm not a denier, but holy hell, guys, we should know this stuff by now, vaccine or not.
Maybe because most winter related illness happens when you get older, and our generation is hitting that age.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Thanksgiving is hands down the best holiday. You get together with family, eat a lot of food and enjoy each other's company. It's simple, no stress of getting gifts or any of that stuff, just getting food, cleaning up, and having a nice relaxing day. And leftovers, the added bonus.

You can't really say to pay people more so we don't have to tip...then 10 mins later say fast food is too expensive. They pay like, $14 an hour at McDonald's now, one reason why there is no longer a proper $1 menu. ❤

They have tipping as an option on robots or self-service machines because a small percentage of people will actually leave a tip. It costs the other side literally nothing to implement this and they'll get free money for absolutely nothing. They'd be daft not to do it.

Hard disagree on tips, everyone I speak to, and I have to say EVERYONE that has ever worked in an industry with tips loves it because they just make so much, I know waiters making $4k a month, they literally make $60 an hour as a waiter, working like 15 hours a week. I'm genuinely planning become a waiter once I quit my current job.

Nah you guys are tripping oun Blair witch, I know they don't really care all that much about movies and just them for entertainment but their taste in movies is so bad. Blair witch is one pioneers, it is an instant classic. It is what horror movies should be. It was built entirely upon acting and a well told story. The fact that they crafted one of the best movies ever with a shoestring budget is amazing. It has no cliches, no tropes, no cheap jumpsacres and is just horrifying through being well made, which is exactly what you all complain about modern horror movies so I don't understand how you didn't like it. It is genuinely amazing and I feel like they didn't give it any credit it deserved at all, with just bland unhelpful criticism. It is one of the best horror movies and this is why I never take any of their opinions on movies to seriously.

We eliminated the turkey from the menu this year. Instead, we spatchcocked a chicken, seasoned the outside, and threw it on the grill. Highly recommend. It was crispy and delicious and ready within an hour versus the turkey which takes so fucking long to cook with such little rewards.

A lot of restaurants delivered before the pandemic and *gasp* the cost was reasonable. Now, even most of the pizza places where I live don't deliver, you have to use a service. And an $18 pizza might cost you $24ish to have it delivered. I ordered Taco Bell a while back and the food total was like $18-19, the order cost me like $41. I was sick, so I wasn't feeling going down there and said fuck it. It still pisses me off.
And ya, fast food has gotten ridiculous. The burger meals at my BK start at over $15 and go up to $21. KFC and Popeyes around here literally charge more than twice what the other places that sell fried chicken around here do. You can get a steak meal at an actual restaurant or get a 2/3 piece meal from a fast food chicken joint. Part of it is sit down restaurants aren't making nearly the money they used to so they keep the margins down, fast food which is the lower quality food and service now charges as much or more.
