I am currently in a space of poverty. Emotional, relationships, and financial (poverty as it is described in California so its not as bad as other places) but I wake up every day feeling empty. I am usually a joyful person, this has just been a hard year. This practice is the only thing giving me strength today. I know tomorrow will be better. But for today, I am so thankful for your video.

I just finished day two. Yesterday was difficult and the movement of energy had me feeling drained. Today, I felt thrumming of energy throughout my body and I feel strong and energized. I have been on a healing journey for awhile and had incorporated yoga and meditation but didn’t feel that I was getting better. In fact, I seemed to be getting worse. I landed in the hospital a couple of weeks ago, and long story short, the hospitalist also practices Ayurvedic medicine. She suggested that I wasn’t doing the kind of meditation and yoga that I needed. She suggested kundalini yoga to help heal and strengthen my energy centers and meridians, believing my health issues aren’t physical but spiritual/energy related. I’m still recovering at home and unable to get out. However, I knew that I couldn’t wait till I was stronger. Your channel and 30 day challenge is such a blessing. Thank you! I hope I can continue to strengthen and heal.

Hello Bonita, it's good to be aware that some side effects may occur. And it's good to not be afraid of them. Many discomforts may arise, especially early in the practice, such as headaches, rashes, changes in digestion, changes in energy, mood, etc. It's important to welcome these "side effects" as they are a good sign of energy moving and healing happening. When they are uncomfortable and you feel low, be gentle with yourself. If instead you feel full power and ecstatic, enjoy it! The important this is to be aware of yourself, how you are feeling, and adjust accordingly. Again, there is no need to fear these side effects. In fact, my teacher used to always tell me "celebrate the side effects! Because it shows you the practice is working".

Beautiful class, thank you :) I have suffered with lower back ache since I was pregnant many years ago. Could this be related to this chakra? And will the exercises help the back pain? My problem is usually when standing for any length of time and I have to walk and bend to release the pain. Thank you
It's difficult to say with confidence that any one specific Chakra is the cause, without some serious investigation. However, certainly childbirth does have a significant impact on Svadhistana and the sexual energy in general. In the coming weeks we will return back to working with Svadhistana Chakra a couple times. I would be interested to hear how you experience those classes! In the mean time, are you familiar with Malasana, the "Yogic Squat"? Is this pose accessible to you? Is so, how does it feel on your lower back? It can be a very restorative pose for the first two chakras, and I often use this when I have fatigue from standing.
@@RefeelYoga Thank you Andrew. Malasana is fine, i find it the most difficult in my hips (width-ways not squatting deep), back has no issue but i tend to need to bend my spine more than malasana to relieve back pain - I will give it a go next time I am suffering!
and i want to say that i especially loved this practice because it did energize the lower back. sometimes or often aka all the time i identify as a porsche carrera s sportscar, as i was also built in the south of germany and exported to the world haha. And they have their engine in the back - so this feeding into my 'human sports car' fantasy gave me total life. no worries im not crazy, i just love to be driven :D

This is a great awareness to have! The lower Chakras give us so much vital energy, and when you can be aware of where that's coming from, the energy flow can be so much more effective and efficient. I'm glad you loves this start to the program!

It's not wrong, there's just some development of strength and flexibility that needs to take place to cultivate a stable movement. It will come in time and your range of movement will increase as your legs get more flexible. For now I would encourage you to go slower and focus on keeping the legs grounded to the floor. This is important as we're trying to develop a very grounded energy with this movement.
It's very important to always make modifications so that the practice suits you, where you are now. We don't ever want to feel pain. "Steady and comfortable", is the aim of every Yogic practice. Always aim to be comfortable in every posture, movement, breath, etc. 🙏💞
It sounds like some purification in Svadhistana Chakra is being experienced. I wouldn't say it's a bad thing, I would just recommend you to go easy and be extra aware while doing these practices. In time that pain should pass and be replaced by feelings of pleasure 💞

This is a great awareness to have! The lower Chakras give us so much vital energy, and when you can be aware of where that's coming from, the energy flow can be so much more effective and efficient. I'm glad you loves this start to the program!

The row boat one.... my feet come up on the back movement and I can't get back more than about a right angle... am I doing it wrong?
It's not wrong, there's just some development of strength and flexibility that needs to take place to cultivate a stable movement. It will come in time and your range of movement will increase as your legs get more flexible. For now I would encourage you to go slower and focus on keeping the legs grounded to the floor. This is important as we're trying to develop a very grounded energy with this movement.

I feel mostly pain on my back during the exercises :(
It's very important to always make modifications so that the practice suits you, where you are now. We don't ever want to feel pain. "Steady and comfortable", is the aim of every Yogic practice. Always aim to be comfortable in every posture, movement, breath, etc. 🙏💞
I felt pain in my lower abdomen while practicing, knowing that I am female
It sounds like some purification in Svadhistana Chakra is being experienced. I wouldn't say it's a bad thing, I would just recommend you to go easy and be extra aware while doing these practices. In time that pain should pass and be replaced by feelings of pleasure 💞
