Regarding the raptor race: make sure that when participating in the race, you also activate the adventure at the same time. That way you get the adventure gold reward as well, ramping up the reward significantly
For this specific festival, more or less I suppose you could say that at a glance. Wintersday, Dragonbash, and Shadow of the Mad King all have non-combat events I enjoy a lot.
It feels so disorganized that while I did sanctum sprint back in the early wizard vault dailies days I haven't actually found where to join it in the current festival. One point about the fishing that doesn't really make it any better is that the "meta" for fishing these days is to... not use the skiff. Everyone just goes to the next swimming hole by skimmer, parks their boat, and fishes. I like fishing in GW2, but I hate the fishing tournament.
I didn't even realize that about the fishing Tournaments, that's wild! Sanctum Sprint is entered by talking to someone in a big tent up top by the Sky Docks Waypoint in Lab Cliffs.
I started playing the game last week and when I looked at the event tab I got a little confused... is it possible to get the summer shorts in the free trial?🤔
I just logged onto my steam Free to Play account, and can see no reason why you wouldn't be able to. The annual Four Winds Customs achievements are all tied to things that you can do in both Labyrinthine Cliffs and Queen's Pavilion as a free to play account! You can use the invitation you were sent in the mail to teleport between the festival locations quickly, or seek out the transport balloon in Lion's Arch to get there. There's 15 days left, so even just doing your dailies every day for the festival will get you a good ways there, but if you were to spend a FULL day on it you could very likely finish the entire "Annual" Achievement in a day even as a newer player!
