Great question! Best to add the preserves little by little until you get the taste. And you are right that this will affect the recipe itself and not the sweetness. Already done baking. Just had a confusion with the gram equivalents in the written recipe (like 1/2cup is 150g in the cake batter then 1/2cup is 75g in the frosting).
