  • Yes you can gain weight on a raw vegan diet and get some belly fat. But it would require eating lots of certain specific foods. If the person is sedentary, then obviously the weight gain would be undesirable, but if the person is working out and wanting to gain muscle, then those calories can be put to good use. Keep in mind, calories and protein are two very different things. There is however a basic common practice which if followed can pretty much guarantee a healthy slim body with no weight gain. What is this magic formula? Watch! I hope this video helps clear things up.

Thanks for pointing out the reason why the body stays hungry is because it is not getting enough nutrients. People seem to forget the reason for eating mainly is to nourish your body.

Totally agree! Since I eat unprocessed and mainly raw vegan my taste has changed and I also don't ever count calories! I now really don't like artificial food or sugar and crave vegetables. And also, I feel satisfied, energized, and at peace all day! I eat quite a bit of nuts and raw olive oil, but doesn't seem to affect me much. Lost all the unnecessary weight without trying, it's so simple :)

Until I became vegan around 9 years ago, I couldn't regulate my weight. Since becoming around 85% raw, recently receiving and eating the WONDERFUL SUPER SEA MOSS, I can't eat as much as I used to when my food wasn't raw. You get satisfied with so much less! Raw really works for me. I'm working on becoming 90% raw!

Difficult to stick to in this country of overly processed, overly consumed “food” that we’re accustomed to and surrounded by, but it CAN be done! I recently purchased your book and I’m looking forward to reading it. I promise not to go directly to the dessert section 😉

Thank you for this video. I’m 62 and vegan for 7 years. I started my raw food journey 3 months ago. Previously, I would try to eat as much raw food as possible but only during the summer months because I live in the Northeast where winters are cold. I thought I needed heavier cooked starches and soups during those months. But I can say that since eliminating rice, pasta, and potatoes and cooked beans and eating only live foods, I do not feel hungry the way I used to. When I ate the Standard American Diet, my hunger only stopped after I was stuffed. A few hours later, I’d be hungry all over again. A cooked vegan diet was better in terms of controlling hunger. But raw vegan food is the absolute best way to control hunger and feel satisfied throughout the day.

@@niomi2766Thank you for your reply. So far, I have lost 18 pounds. But the most amazing thing is that I don’t feel hunger like I did on an animal-based or cooked vegan diet. Also, my stomach feels fine after eating instead of heavy and bloated. I feel like I breathe and sleep better also. I have more energy. My skin is completely smooth, no wrinkles or rough spots. My eyesight also improved. I already had perfect blood work on my cooked vegan diet and I don’t take any medications. With this raw diet, I have been able to keep my blood pressure around 117/70 consistently which is great for someone my age.

My stomach is just ballooning! I don’t eat much really, but my mistake is biscuits, bread, milk, weight “loss” shakes with Almond milk and water, ( I’ve cut the wine RIGHT BACK), snack bars, half cups of prune juice, more milk more breakfast cereal and oats and need I go on. I’ve worked out that something is WRONG! I’m carrying around a sack of FAT on my stomach and I’m over it. Thanks for your excellent video.

Master class. Natural food fills you up quickly and keeps you full. Here in Italy, vegetable and fruit producers from the south transport in their own trucks raw fresh fruit and vegetables to the north, which they then sell directly to the public from those trucks at the road side. This also means you are now eating raw food on a seasonal basis direct from the producer. Right now we have fresh oranges and mandarins available which I eat raw as my vitamin C source for the winter.

Eat only from nature! Yes! Also something that helped me is to think of what my proportions of food would be if I were actually only harvesting in nature myself and not buying from a grocery store. I once had the opportunity to live in a place where I had both fruit trees, a garden and a nut tree (walnut) growing in my backyard. It quickly became apparent to me that if I we’re harvesting and cracking my own nuts and preparing food for an entire family I would only rarely be making recipes that included a lot of nuts and seeds. As it is very time consuming. The vast majority of my diet would be fruit, greens and veggies! Our natural environment sets us up for success!

I know you said that there is no need to count calories. but for me, in order to loose waight (and its a very slow proses...) i need to stay on 1200 cal. it's very easy to go over that amount, even with just fruites and veggies. i am vegan and do not eat proses food at all ! i eat a lot of fruits and vegies ( more fruit.. its not half and half... 🙅‍♀ ) I started exercises daily .. but I do count calories .. i hope one day I will be free from counting! at this time I have a goal and no matter how long it takes I want to succeed! thank you for all the lovely videos you ar both inspiration ❤🧡💛💚

Like I said, most people pick sweet fruits which are full of sugar, and fruit lovers also drink fruit juice etc. I glass of orange juice is over half an hour of walking.
But if people incorporate more greens like I said- half greens, half fruit, its not a problem anymore usually

I've been eating only hamburger patties, beef hot dogs, and butter for the last month and I feel fine. I'm also losing weight without starving myself. I also had an occasional piece of chicken. A couple of days ago I started adding medium cheddar cheese to my hamburger patties. In other words, I'm on a plant free diet.

Well… my grandpa ate nothing but bacon, eggs, fish (that he caught) and any and all raw veggies and fruit. He lived to be 99 no health issues. BUT he ate no sugary junk, no potato chips, nothing fried in oil, no fast food, no sodas, no alcohol and he didn’t smoke. So he was basically a very low carb diet without even knowing it. This is the lifestyle I follow. And my grandma lived to be 91 also no health problems. Neither one had high blood pressure and needed any meds. So, I like most of what Markus said but I follow who in my family and friends of our family that have lived well into their 90’s, and I do what they do. 👍🏻 oh, and they didn’t eat bread either. No pasta no bad carbs. 👍🏻👍🏻😁

I eat fiber. It’s found naturally in fruit.
We need fiber to move along the food digesting in our intestines. I think a well balanced diet is best

Side note - If there is a UPS strike, you might want to order any items (wherever you get them) that you have shipped in now before August. I live in a remote area that always takes an extra day or two from whatever they claim it takes to deliver. That's what I'm doing. I'm losing weight and want to make sure that I've got everything I need.

Markus, went to a Waterpark yesterday. I’m 57 and in pretty decent shape. So is my 59 year old hubby. I was SHOCKED at how many morbidly obese people were there. So many , so much younger than us. It’s so sad !
And the food they sell there is all junk ! We brought some cashews to nibble on until we left. 😅

I don't bother tracking anything when I only eat raw because the calories are so low. When I juice fast I sometimes feel like I'm vibrating when I lay down for the night. Have you ever felt this. Love this feeling lol I know I'm getting healing energy from live foods
