Never played this game, but because of you I am going to buy the game and play it on VR. love the channel by btw, you have helped me find my PCVR sweet spot, thank you
its crazy how we went from oblivion the year prior to crysis as our leading graphics in games. feels like we have slowed down progress so hard since then
I did try it yesterday and man it is awesome , im going to donate to the modders the did a fantastic job on what theve done its not perfect but man its awesome anyways
If you are only playing in VR you do not need the C1 Launcher as the VR Mod already uses it, however it is handy to get if you want to play old school in Flat Screen Mode. The Saves are in different folders, or are for me at any rate. The 1.1.0 version is out with includes 32Bit version as well which will run faster I believe although not on Steam VR, so use Virtual Desktop VXVD or Occulus Link?.
Thanks for the video. What would you say is the best solution for simply playing Crysis stereoscopically with a VR headset, with standard KB & mouse control?
Well all sounds nice, but you have a 4080 GFX card and an I9 processor to play the game. I currently have a RTX-3080TI and an I7 processor and a Quest 3 for VR. Everyone seems to say these new games are excellent, but it comes at a cost of having to upgrade to latest technology - which i don't have the money for anymore being retired. I have the Half life VR versions of the games from STEAM and enjoy them all. I will see what others think of CRYSIS game that are running similar hardware that I have. It also says on STEAM, Crysis is no longer available on the STEAM store. I only buy my games from the STEAM store. There is another page on STEAM that sells the Crysis Trilogy. Not sure if I will get this game - seems like a pretty old game. Does VR mod work for all three versions of the game. According to google, VR mod only works with the first version of Crysis. Take care.
As I mentioned in the video, it's available through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or from GOG.com. the steam version is remastered, which doesn't work As for your PC spec, it should run the game okay if you knock the graphics settings back a bit and don't use render resolution (ie. Keep it on 1.0). P.S. I'm retired as well 😉
I first ran it yesterday on my Pico 4 using Virtual Desktop and 3080, I left the res slider as it was and it looked good as it was, just upgraded to the 1.1.0 version which includes a 32 bit version, I will try that as well see what that looks like.
For main weapon you grab above your right shoulder and each time you press it changes which weapon you ll hold, for pistols you grab right side of your waist granades hold B aim with right hand
I got two issues. 1. It looks like shit on my quest 3. Im running via Octolus link app. Also the sound isnt coming through my headset. It says on the pc speakers :(
There's a resolution slider in the VR settings. You may also want to do general optimizations for Link like increasing encoding bitrate if you haven't. If sound isn't picked up automatically, you'll have to go to the Windows Settings -> System -> Sound and manually switch to the Oculus Virtual audio device *before* launching the game.
I only got sound from Crysis game when in the meta VR menu, not when inside the game. I have made the Crysis window active. I have manually switched to the Oculus Virtual audio device before launching the game. I don't know what else to try.

Thanks mate, means a lot to me 🤩
This is the VR game of the year. I haven't played a better VR game in a long time.

The Great Consolization of 2008 was a huge blow to video game innovation.

Agreed and thanks 👍
Thanks for the tutorial at the end!
No problems mate, enjoy 🤩
Cheers Mac very helpful 🍻😉👍
Never actually played cysis but I was looking for a good single player game with a big map so I gotta give it a try
It is a good singleplayer game with a HUGE map!
The mod looks spectacular.
It is, Crysis still looks amazing today 😳

Great vid. How do you fix the HUD rather than head tracking? 😊
You can turn the HUD off but that's the only option 😉
Thank you for the reply. How come you can still see it in your video then?
I had it on all the time I was playing, helped me keep track of what grenade or fire selector I had 😉
Thanks for the video. What would you say is the best solution for simply playing Crysis stereoscopically with a VR headset, with standard KB & mouse control?
Mouse & KB are already set up, just go to controls and have a look
@@MacInVR Ah, nice. Thank you.
Hi I find that it keeps crashing when using steam link but it doesn’t using the old air link way anyone know why😕

@@DelDredd Thank you for your info. My PC is 64 bit so I will be a bit faster. Enjoy the game. take care
*"I only buy my games from the STEAM store."*
Well then you're acting like a big sillyhead.
The game is fantastic. How do you change weapons and throw grenades?
For main weapon you grab above your right shoulder and each time you press it changes which weapon you ll hold, for pistols you grab right side of your waist granades hold B aim with right hand
How do you change the resolution in the mod?
On the menu, go to VR settings - miscellaneous then you'll see the resolution slider there 😉
It's not there, I wonder if it is because of an old version or because I have the EA version.
Make sure you're running the latest updates v1.0.2 launcher & v6 executables
@@MacInVR
I don't have VR settings in the menu !
Why no crysis vr on the title?
Click bait 😳

@@fholger I will try. Thanks for the suggestions! PS: Where do you increase encoding bitrate? In the game settings or the link app?
Open the Oculus Debug tool and change it from there, search on my channel as I've done a video on how to setup a link cable with optimum performance 😉

Are you degradate?
How do I get Crysis for free from EA Play?
You have a subscription, which makes it kind of free (but you already knew that you little tinker) 😜
