Ill be speaking to you guys and bringing a motor over as soon as the motor in fab work is done, but thinking of a very similar motor. Its just taken me too long to make my mind up on a motor combo

Great to get to catch up in the build, can't wait to see the end result both this time and then I'm guessing the next time you do it with some boost. Noticed the new hairdo half way through mate lol, looking slick

Callies compstar is nice gear, I've used them in a few builds, definitely one of the best of the offshore forgings in my opinion 👌

Yeh we have used them in plenty of sbc builds, first time we have used them in an LS. Only went for the Mace cause we originally bought their girdle and their rods were reasonably cheaper than a set of compstars. In the end its worth every but extra just to go compstars. So this combo ended up a K1 4inch crank, compstar rods and CP Bullets 👌 arp Mains and Head bolts should love some twin screw delivered boost in future

@@BoostGumps nice, the k1 stuff is mint also, I think it was Tom molnars side project for a bit, any wonder it's decent stuff given toms heritage.
Sounds like a stout build 👍

Love the content. I’ve scoured through all your videos, great stuff.
I’ve a very tidy, relatively low kilometre LS1 Monaro (120k). Plan is to have supercharged this year. Will either supercharge the stock LS1, or have a stand alone L98 built and supercharged them swapped into it (factory LS1 to be stored away)
What is your opinion on supercharging the stock bottom end LS1 (with all the usual valve train upgrades and cam), can reasonable reliability be expected? The goal is 500-600rwhp.
    Cheers 👍

Why are some engine torque specs "x ft/lb then 90 degrees" why not just "z ft/lb"?

Because mechanical engineers like to over complicate stuff for the sake of it.

Do you have to be a stroker to drive one?
