Hi guys, quick question. Where did you fit the port for the vacum lines? Did you tee off an existing line in the back of the intake manifold or did you drill and fit a new port in the intake? Wondering where to fit mine, or best place to take a port for boost and vacum? Thanks
What kit should be best for a wh caprice with the ls1
The 6l80 in my VF2 was still shitty , became a glitter box after 100k km.
So if I buy this kit what is the best MODEL VE to install it on and make a project out of. I want a wagon I can push to its limits before eventually having to make some upgrades to push it to its limits, what year ve wagon would you recommend
Dont underestimate the 6l80 boys, as long as you drive it in tiptronic it'll live. Mine made 718hp 1340nm on 13psi and the 6l80 is the only thing i havent had issues with 🤣
Yeh it depends what model it is. We have pushed them and found their limits before. These early ones can’t handle the same kind of abuse as the 2011+ ones.
Great boxes for what they are though. 630whp is no slouch for a stock 6 speed, got to give them credit!
TUTD or not, they're good for 800+whp with a good tune 💪
@@ACCELGarage I can confidently confirm that not all of them are. They are not all the same. We have found the limits of the early boxes.

i know the box will blow, but lets assume it has a 6l90, you would be expecting over 800 hey
hey guy's ive got a ve calais worked 6ltr and im constantly getting fumes coming inside the cabin and no mechanic in Geelong can solve the issue 🙅
Are you running a catch can? If not and it has no exhaust leaks, check pcv system, made sure there is no cracks or anything in the pcv house etc
Hey boys why did this ve make less power than the other white ve turbo with the side pipe sticking out of the lh side? Is it the fuel was different?
Just that the sedan was a manual and we were happy to lean on it a bit harder.
With the same fuel system, if we wanted to push the 6L80 that hard, this ute would easily do the same.
But decided to leave the existing fuel system from the last instal as we knew we would be at the limit of the stock 6L80e anyway 🤙

I know what you mean my stato came with LS7 lifters turns out they were eBay special lifters that failed and lucky I caught it before it chewed the cam found so much dodgy shit i understand where you're coming from with these cowboy builders
Yeh its a jungle out there! There are plenty of great workshops around as well, just need to find one you trust and stick with them 👌
Wastegate dumping after cat. questionable legality for emissions. But in saying that, bang for buck, those kits are amazing.

WTF no gasket fitted to the timing cover. That was ridiculous the amount of oil in the intercooler pipes,turbo and lines. That so called mechanic would be doing alot of people a favour if his hoist slipped while under it one day.
he better find the under bonet heat shield or he won't have paint on it, killa boost is a rip off wanted $3950 for headers for VE I did my own for $400 and there better and bigger so far car has made 1723hp but engine is built to take 2500hp but the 6l80 isn't a happy camper has reprograming kit I'm saving for a built t400 for it, running 98mm T6 Turbo forged 427LS hand ported heads 11.5 comp twin wastegates, 5" intercooler full 4" intake 105mm TB, fuel system is huge best you can buy hopeing to have it done for summernats so far I'm in it for $55k, car cost me $65k 6 years ago 2012 VE HDT

Someone lives in fantasy land... Darcy wouldn't have quoted you $3950 for t6 headers, plus business's also need to pay employees and rent ect not to mention the after sales service the guy provides. There is no way you've made 1723hp with a 6l80 either.
@@toddthorn6886 I have his quote still in my emails so unless you know what your talking about STFU and mind your own business, no one was talking to you quote was for a set of header to suit a 98mm T6 turbo for a VE which is physically a huge turbo, i actually have had 2 quotes off killa boost 1 to fit a 88mm t4 was $3700 before I purchased my turbo, Only person living in fantasy land is you price was ridiculous🙄 people selling turbo stuff are way over priced and is plain ripp off, If you don't like it stick it in your stiff shit book and buzz off
