- In this video, my buddy Shane and I head to a muddy river in central Texas, with a goal of catching the biggest fish of his LIFE!
We use a carp for bait, and spend the entire day trying to find a monster fish.
These fish were caught with 80 lb braid, and a Kastking Reel and Swimbait Rod.

Greeting TyPigPatrol! I am a relatively new viewer to your channel that has not yet become a subscriber. Since I am new I don’t know what the relationship is between you and Pigpatrol the other channel. I have been subbed to Pigpatrol for a few months now and really enjoy his fishing content. For whatever reason Pigpatrol has some insane luck or skill (maybe a bit of both) and seems to excel not only at catching multiple species on every fishing excursion, but he manages to catch some big fish! A lot! So many of his videos he will just randomly show up at a spot where lots of people have been fishing all day and they haven’t really caught much. Then Pigpatrol shows up and starts bagging lunker back to back to back. This quite literally leaves the other fishermen who have been there all day trying to catch fish unsuccessfully in total bewilderment! I have t9 admit it’s pretty amazing.
I imagine you are a pretty good fisherman also which means I will probably decide to sub to you soon also. That said, will you please explain the relationship between you and a Pigpatrol? Were you a team before and split up? Are you related in any way? Were you TyPigPatrol before he was Pigpatrol? Please explain for me and other newbies who don’t know and are wondering! Thanks!

Here in SE Louisiana, in the 1960's and 1970's I spent much time as a child in the swamps and waters fishing, boating, hunting and swimming. We use to make Gar Poles to catch them. I have seen these Alligator Gar Fish that were longer than our 14 foot boat. The largest Gar that I saw was not completely visible but his head was at water lever and his eye was at least as large as a ping pong ball. That gar could have been 18 to 20 feet long.

Big, yeah...not bigger, though. I catch white sturgeon by my place in Oregon way bigger than that. I got one from my pontoon boat that was longer than the pontoons....they're 9ft.

All the way from South Africa. We have some pretty wild shit here, but this is one helluva fish! I have not read the comments or anything, so excuse my ignorance, but the closest resemblance I could find was a 'crocodile fish'. That's one helluva mean mother of a freshwater fish. Does anyone know of any human casualties or injuries? With those teeth I would be a lot more careful than you boys were! These guys seemed docile, but if it ever had the will to fight back, those teeth are bound to have you nominated for some stitches, and a lengthy recuperation. In fact, if that thing came at me, the least I will need afterwards is some therapy. Sheeeeeat! Great vid. Thanks.

It is an alligator gar. they are a very docile fish, and will never attack humans. they only attack things they can swallow whole. if someone gets injured, it is because they are in the way of the fish thrashing. that head and mouth can cause damage, but just from someone getting in the way of it. it will not intentionally go after or chomp on someone!
