Omg I'm from northern ireland and all we do is fight about religion. .. am Scotish descent but I've never heard a song like this in my life on bagpipe. .. wonderful and beautiful. M Much respect
in the Royal Air Force Cadets, our Honour Guards are trained, upon hearing the opening notes of this song, to immediately come to attention and execute a Hand Salute (if not under arms) or to execute Present Arms (if armed with rifles) when this song is performed at a Funeral or in Remembrance.
First of all this is the Canadian military, Lone piper is an Air Force piper and the soldiers in front are the Royal Highland Fusiliers... We are of British decent so we maintain English and Scottish traditions
Same as the reason 'Amazing Grace' is played on bagpipes for some fallen LEO and Fire Services member. When the Irish and Scottish first came to America they could only get jobs no one else would take cause they were so dangerous. Search 'history of Amazing Grace played at emergency services funerals' or ''history of Amazing Grace played at police funerals' and you will find some history about it.
not many people have a true appreciation for the bagpipes anymore..thanks for putting this out there
From a Scotsman .. this was well played :) Canadians are welcome in Scotland!
Beautiful thank you
I think this man gives both Josh Groban and The Celtic Woman a run for their money. Very beautifully done and the bagpipes complete it very well.
