What is it??
Yamaha took Ring Free, the proven engine deposit package, and made it even better. Their exclusive, synthetic PLUS formula provides superior deposit control, cleaning fuel injectors, carburetors, intake valves, intake ports, and combustion chambers. Featuring metal filmers, it also protects silver solder, copper, aluminum, and steel in a fuel system from the corrosive effects of ethanol sulfate salt.
Highly concentrated Yamalube Ring Free PLUS is a proven engine deposit cleaning package. When used as directed, this top-quality deposit-control system removes deposits from fuel injectors, carburetors, intake valves, intake ports, and combustion chambers. These harmful deposits, often the result of low-quality gasoline, may cause knocking/pinging, power loss, hesitation, shortened spark plug life, piston ring sticking, and even expensive engine damage.
This special formulation also helps to protect electronic parts and fittings in your fuel system against the corrosive effects of sulfur compounds found in ethanol (E10) fuels.

Here’s another great product I use and firmly believe in. Yamaha Yamalube Ring Free plus fuel additive. I was told about this product when I purchased my new Yamaha 50 hp outboard in 1998. A person I truly respect in the Marine world told me to always run this additive. It keeps your injectors, valves, carburetors, etc. super clean and running at their peak performance. I know motors are expensive to repair and even more expensive to replace. Being ethanol is in our fuel today this helps take care of the sulfur that’s in our ethanol fuels. And yes ethanol is here to stay. Try a jug. I have used it for 26 years already with no outboard motor issues. See you ripping lips on the water.

I have owned numerous boat and outboard combinations and can honestly say that the ones with Yamaha outboards have been my favorite setups. With that being said the boat played a major factor in that statement, however I believe Yamaha outboards are a quality product. With the correct maintenance I am confident that my Yamaha will be reliable and won't leave me dead on the water. Part of my maintenance is the use of Yamalube Ring Free in the fuel. As Mike eluded to above Ring Free maintains everything encompassing your fuel system and is cheap insurance weather you are a tournament fisher or just out with the family and friends enjoying vacation. Have used this product in the Yamaha's I have owned for nearly 20 years without any issues. Highly recommend using this affordable protection for the investment you have in your Yamaha outboard.
