  • Earlier this year we met up with Johan-Frank Dirickx and his team at Circuit d'Abbeville in France, as he took out some of the amazing Porsches that form the JFD Collection.
Part of that collection are both the old 1967 and the new 2017 Porsche 911R. As a tribute to the old car Porsche integrated the chassis number of Johan's old car in the design of the brand new model, linking them together in history and for the future.
If you liked the video, go ahead and give us a thumbs up and subscribe! Ideas for future episodes are welcome in the comments as well.

The soul they share ,is a pure, drivers tool ,for the road and track, in one vehicle. A drivers car , for a Driver.
Porsche is the ONLY Sports Car Manufacturer, that has accomplished this, decade ,after decade, since the 1950s to 2019.

If offered one of those, and I had to pick, I'd take the old one.

I feel this mans frustration. In this (another) most awesome video.
My suggestion for a car is the 1965 Lola Gt the Ford GT 40 was
Inspired by there is a British racing green one in UK. Nobody of this caliber of filming has documented. The blue ex mitcom car is about still always never seems ti be restored just a survivor its in the states last I heard of it.Your art will do these cars the justice they have NEVER received.
I feel this mans fustration, Im in absolute agreement in these factorys that can produce what the enthusiasts want all these years snd never come close enough.
Porsche , has always been the sports car , of sports cars , for sports car drivers. I hold Porsche in very high regard , to be honest the highest honor , for it has never
Ever from inception , given up on the 911 original design. Rear engine and the shape of the 911.
Yes Porsche has many new names and numbers but the average man or women that knows nothing about cars, recognize it as 911.
There is no car ever built , that the factory never moved away from their original design concept from beginning to today as the 911 has.
Be sides the Corvette, but Corvettes in the beginning were far from sophusticated and modern like the Porsche was.The Corvette was more like a chevy impala chassis with a fiberglass body on it.Was heavy didn't handle well wasnt world class right out of the box. It took chevy a long long time
To bring the Corvette into world class status it is today.
Porsche has always been a car for a driver ( a tool ).
I think Porsche should make a more extreme 911 R.
I think NISSAN should make a true modern retro Z. That will give the 240Z crowd some closure. But use the car like Porsche has done to keep a infinite focus on the original design concepts.
The 240Z was plaqued with the company marketing groups , desire to increase sales by trying to make a sports car, be everybody's car and in this vein lost its way , into a luxury sports car crowd that would never have liked the original minimal Drivers car the 240Z was.
Hence the success of the early Z was the 240Z , everything after paled in comparison. But the enthusiasts "still till today " wait for the return of the 240Z formula.
Nissan has the natural ability to do this, it still fustrates the 240Z, drivers that made Nissan, Nissan
In America. The 240Z was the Sumarai Sword that cut into the US sales ,market.Nothing else nissan had at the time , coukd have brought them such success. Yet they shun the design. They need to build a true modern retro 240Z.
    And keep it true .
You guys are number one in this catagory of a sports car magazine
I do love you pick out the not so known cars Costin , and Marcos,
TVR , and one offs seem to be right up your alley.Keep it up!!!

They also experimented with a 2.0 liter 4 cam 230 hp ‘916’ engine 911r in 1967. Maybe 4 cars had it? Not sure about that part.

Is de witte kleur een PTS kleur? Ik dacht dat die bij de standaard opties zat

    • @thisispatina
      @thisispatina  6 років тому +1

      Bedankt voor je reactie, Willem!
