Flower Press VS Heavy Book | Pressed Flowers 2 Ways!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 27 лис 2024
- In this video, I will demonstrate two ways to press and dry flowers (or weeds) and show if there was any difference at the end. I will be using a flower press (or DIY book press I made in a previous video - link in video cards) and a rather large dictionary to press and dry flowers I collected from my yard. I will be using these pressed flowers in a future video so stay tuned for that.
Thanks so much for watching!

Loved seeing the pup in this video 😁😁
Haha Thanks! He is a cute feature 😂
Thanks so much for watching! Which flower (or weed) did you like pressed the best?
Here's a handy link to the book..I mean flower press I made --> ua-cam.com/video/4GeMnKwQJhE/v-deo.html
i have heard from another commenter and another video that parchment paper isn't good because it traps the moisture and that prolongs the drying process and males it brown more
That's a good tip. Thanks!
I remember learning how to do this at school. Then i decided to do it at home. I pressed a bunch of flowers using a big encyclopaedia. Which contains information on thousands of animals plants and rocks. I dont have it anymore though :[
That sounds like it was the perfect book for pressing flowers :)
Can you do this process to get flower impressions on to watercolor paper? Any particular prep of the paper to that impression? Thank so much. :o)
Honestly I haven't tried that myself. But I do wonder if it would be similar to making leaf and flower prints on fabric.
Lovely!
Thank you!
Is it okay/have you used waxed paper instead of parchment?
Hi Marilyn thanks for watching! I'm not sure waxed paper would be the best. I think it wouldn't absord the moisture as well as using parchment paper. But I'm not an expert :) You could use paper towel and cardstock or cardboard as well.
I love you
Awww thanks :)
