    Hey! I commented a few months ago saying this was a project I wanted to do and now, after a lot of procrastinating, its finally finished! I really cannot thank you enough for sharing this project, I had so much fun making it. I even managed to get the exposed central zipper looking right (although that did end up causing a few problems with the collar in the end). Thanks again!

    Don't let 3d printers intimidate you if you want to make small things like the tomb stones id actually recommend looking at small resin printers. You can buy water soluble resin (water wash resin) which doesn't stink hardly at all and is much easier to clean up than regular resin. The process of getting started and getting good prints is faster and easier than budget FDM printers in my opinion at least. But FDM printing will let you do cool larger projects. Either way have fun and great video! I was only looking for a basic terrarium tutorial but my partner loves spooky season so I clicked on yours and it was great! ✨

    This takes me back to the 70's. My younger sister went through a decoupage phase, but she raised the stakes by using flame to burn off the background of the image, leaving a sooty vignette before glueing the item to the plaque (or whatever else she was decorating.) Personal computers and printers weren't a thing yet, so do-overs were harder. 😉

    • @TotalPamarchy
      @TotalPamarchy Місяць тому

      That sounds amazing. I will have to remember that - burn it first. It would definitely give it a cool look. But yes, we are fortunate in the age we live in. Haha. Especially when you factor in 3D printers and laser cutters.

    I’m looking at doing something similar to this, but I’m using an already made journal as the base, wanting to give red faux leather the look of being scales. I also need to have space in the middle for a symbol. Do you think it would be the same idea just tracing the scales onto the skin I’d be putting over the book?

    • @TotalPamarchy
      @TotalPamarchy 3 місяці тому

      Yes I think it would work the same way for a faux leather, if you cut out the strips of scales and glued them on. You could always lay them out ahead of time before gluing with a few to see if it's giving you the look you want :)

    Wow, this is exactly the kind of thing I've been looking to do! I really want to get started doing the armoured vault 13 suit from Fallout 1, but based on the utility jumpsuit style of 3/NV and not the uncomfortable skintight catsuit style from 1/2/4/76. I haven't done any sewing since I was a kid, but this has made me think that maybe with a little luck, and a lot of patience, I could actually do this! Thanks for posting!

      No we wouldn't want that. And that's the first thing I thought of when drinking it - it wouldn't be the best thing for a diabetic. Wondering if you could play with the sugar content, but also the amount of syrup vs soda water.

    Obviously very late to this, but you would probably get better results with the tea if you use a stronger blend than English Breakfast. That will always produce quite a pale cuppa so won't stain the paper as well. Also, if you want to use the paper for maps or notes then folding it several times in different directions before staining can produce some nice effects. The stain pools slightly in the folds, giving a nice variation in the colour.

    • @TotalPamarchy
