The way he stops is his attempt to put DiCanio off, you wouldn't see a keeper that still on the spot in normal play. So he's trying to make DiCanio think that the ref has called an offside, therefore hoping that DiCanio doesn't take his shot. Pinto did something similar a few seasons ago in the Champions League for Barcelona :P

Anyone who thinks this is bad goalkeeping clearly can't think on more than one level. He isn't ACTUALLY claiming offside, he's trying to put the striker off by pretending that the flag has gone up.
