- Transition skating is hands down my favorite thing to do on a skateboard. In this video I give a breakdown of the tricks that I believe are the easiest to do on a spine for a beginner. My thoughts might surprise you, but watch through and listen to my explanation to see why I think blunt/tail over is the EASIEST way to skate a spine.
I hope these tips help you learn how to skate a spine transfer easier, if it did, please let me know below and share the video with some friends to get more people skating transition!!

I watched Kyle Anderson's trick tips on how to skate the spine and now my girlfriend has taken me back. Thanks Kyle!
Miss you
Perfectly timed video! Definitely gonna try that blunt/tail stall on the spine. I'm having tons of fun learning to skate transition
YESSS! When I was watching your video of you doing the rock over I thought you might like this one!
@@KyleAndersonSkates I tried to learn how to air out yesterday and it didn't go so well lol I'm posting a video tomorrow. If you have time to watch it please let me know what I'm doing wrong lol I wanna get these down
@@EliasDeAlmeida Will do!!
Super helpful Kyle! Can't wait to try this!! The visualisation part at the end of the video is super helpful!
It’s like you made this video for me. I think this might be one of my summer goals. Thanks again. 🙏
That would be amazing!! If you get it or need any help dont hesitate to hit me up on IG!

All very well explained.
We don't have any parks with a spine in my area.
Always appreciate your videos and narrative Sir.
Thank you! I enjoyed making this so I might be doing some more videos in this style for the future!
Really helpful mate 👍 liked and subbed
Thank you so much!!
I had a dream that I was skating a spine, I haven't boarded in 10 years but your video may have me buying a board soon. I miss getting air over the spine.
Hey Rob! Sorry for the late reply but heck yeah! I hope you do get back on the board even if it's just cruising around!
this was great!! thanks(:
Great video Kyle! Thanks for the tips! Popping into the blunt/tail looks so good and so does sliding them. I actually am going to be posting a video fairly soon(week or two) about learning new spine tricks, but now I have more to try!
Btw, this ramp looks big! A 5 ft?
@@XSProgression heck yeah TJ!! Excited for your video! bumping into the blunt just happens naturally for me now to be honest. and yeah it's a 5ft ramp, used to feel big to me since I mainly skate this park but once I started going to vert ramps, this thing feels so much smaller 😅
@@KyleAndersonSkates thanks man! Yeah that thing seems big in the video. I’m sure coming back to it after vert makes it feel super small haha. Keep killing it dude!!
Nice
Thanks!
I took the spine to the end
lmfaooo such good times! 😂😭🍄
Ayy isn't this where Chad Caruso skates?!
ahaha no way, Chad's in new york, i'm in south florida. maybe one day I could skate with him tho!
any advice for a spine that has a flat top about 10 inches wide between copings? been trying to tail stall it for a while but its so hard to land in the right spot driving me insane at the moment. only way ive been able to get over is axle stall and slowly move to the opposite side
10 inches sounds pretty wide! Almost seems like an early 2000s park that was built for BMX! I've personally never tried one of those spines, but from how you're describing, if there is coping on both sides, try bonking your wheels to get some air and then land down on the tail on the other side. Depending on how steep the ramp is, you might be able to get away with catching air and then sliding down the other side on your leg to judge the speed needed. Hope you get it! would love to see video of it if you do! @kyle.j.anderson on IG if you wanna send it!
i love you

Half cab 270 is basically like 2/3 cab lmao
