Just bought a Star&River 2 myself & yes the wind this year is horrendous. Like your's, my test was awesome but I also used 14inch pegs where I was on a 40 foot bluff.
It didn’t even look that windy I was wanting to see the horrendous conditions??

I'm meant to be seeing in the new year with some friends doing a camp in my local "Pentland Hills" in Edinburgh, the view over the city while the fire works go off from the city centre street party & local housing estates will actually be pretty special, I'm hoping to get a real good video of it!

Dan, you do you, anybody that doesn't like it can stuff off. 8.5 to 9 on the sizzle. I have trouble with wind too mate, once it's all out though it's fine, apart from the smell 😂. Yes I always watch till the end 😃.

my oex 900 does the same keep waking up covered in feathers. have used it for pretty much very camp though, maybe it will be its last winter. nice video mate like the tent

Thanks, Dan, as always I thoroughly enjoyed your video and as usual, watched it to the end. Eating your meal with a fork was a lot easier than eating it with two tent pegs which is what I have had to do when I forgot my eating irons! Good tent standing up to that wind
Don't you worry about telling us what you spend on food, you're right we do like to know. I thought maybe you'd like to know that the asda sirloin steak is lush, 2 for £8 atm I think for 8oz each and they, in my opinion taste so damn good. Try them to see if they meet your expectations. Nice tent though and great video.....again haha 😄
Ps. This is a tip not a criticism, add a little oil to your butter to stop the butter from burning and add garlic 1 minute from when your steak is done, stops the burning and horrible flavour garlic gives when burnt. Hope my tip helped, as I said just a tip. Steak still looked yummy 😋
I have the same set up except I use a down quilt. I sleep so good in my Nature Hike with that air mattress. I use a close cell yoga mat under my mattress.

I have said this before love, IGNORE all the negative comments. Just because some people cannot afford to buy expensive meat, does NOT mean that others cannot buy theeat and say how much you paid for it. There will ALWAYS be Karen's amongst you viewers. If anyone doesn't like what you are showing in YOUR videos, they can go and watch a different channel, simple as that. I love everything you cook and the fact, you tell us the price you paid and where you bought it from.
Don't change a thing, your videos are entertaining and funny. They keep me going. Love them and the fact you are not afraid to be honest about EVERYTHING. Keep going and have a wonderful Christmas and A Happy New year 2022.
not a criticism but I think your sleeping with your head at the foot end of the tent, the pockets are at the head end so you can reach them and the taller end so you can sit up...

Great video as always mate ... I have a naturehike Nebula 2 that I love and a Opulus 3 which is amazing for the money and weight ... for the price point and choice then Naturehike are hard to beat. Jealous of the private woodland permisions as I would'nt know where to start asking even?

Ive got a Naturehike Mongar Ultralight 20D for a while and in strong winds and bad weather i love it only thing i didnt like was there wasnt a lot of pegs so bought more and got longer
i got my first tent today its a naturehike cloud up 3 and i havent set it up yet until tomorrow when i go. i got naturehike self inflatable mat and naturehike 300 4 season sleeping bag and i have 2 big dogs and im a small person 5ft3 8 stone and cant wait. i wont be cooking as i dont have that stuff but i like to take a few cans of beer and some smoke and be with the dogs out and they love fields and wooded areas. i have a female french mastiff whos 17 months old and i have his brother whos an american bandog whos 1 year. they best not bite my tent or mat and bed lol. i think this 3 person tent is gonna be a good size for the 3 of us and my 30l backpack for 1 night. also im new to camping and when u mentioned about the reflective bits i thought but their good for when u dont know where ur tent is in proper wooded area with trees and ur shining a torch and theres no trials or pathways i feel. if u want it so stealth then i know they do them netting leafy camouflaged things to cover the tent. also this self inflating naturehike green blow up mat i got had a pattern on it and then when i received it i couldnt see the pattern on it but i havent blew it up yet incase i end up struggling to put it small again to pack away for tomorrow. wtf thats shocking about the deers mate even tho i have dogs. deers are beautiful creatures u dont hurt them in england. for my dog walks i love and praise my marauder mini torch, its amazing gong out on my dog walks at night in fields and farms and wooded areas i go with my dogs. i maybe get a head torch. the food u cook is always good. me personally just want a frying pan and bacon sandwiches lol and strawberry trifle is bad boy. mate u need a brilo pad on that stove lol i like things clean as hell stainless steel and that chrome stuff. also dont listen to them people man seriously, ive watched a few of ur videos more than 3 and i love it listening to u and watching what stuff u got and use so i know if i want it. what do u mean ur not a chef ur like Gordon Ramsey camping 5 star Michelin lol.

I Put the steak on, my favourite is ribeye and don't touch it for 3 -4 minutes then turn it let it camerlize, I have that cracking little grill @huhu if you get me ,and coal under neath and steak on the grill even better with out the pan 😉
Never seen as many deer as this past year maybe the starvation is more down to competition for food
I think the deer have all been pushed to bigger groups.

about your sleeping bag having feathers coming out of it just pinch them back in by putting your hand round the back of were its coming out and sort of pinch them back in i do it to my coat not my bag i prefare sinthetic bags for that reson but its a easy fix and if you don,t know what i mean im sure its on youtube were i heared about it great camp and nice tent. oh did you do the draw for that cloud peak 2 yet brother

Great video again mate ,just a couple of things, the reflective tape on the tent, could be a safety thing, up in the mountains, have an accident mountain rescue can see your tent at night. The other thing, why not have an R.T.G bag ( rewady to go ) bag. once you have washed up your eating utensils put them straight into your bag ready for next time. Looking forward to your next video.
