IF Shane McMahon does show up in AEW, I am going to laugh SO hard. Back in 2019, when AEW began, the product was sold to me as being "100% McMahon Free." With Shane allegedly showing up and TK doing the same business practices that Vince did behind the scenes, that turned out to be a lie.

Takeshita’s definitely the best of the bunch, but I wouldn’t say he’s the only one. I’d put Hikaru Shida in the conversation as well. She’s put in the effort to get better each year she’s been in AEW and now she can pretty much put together a full promo in English that doesn’t sound like she’s struggling to find the words. Okada and Takeshita haven’t done that and Shibata has to use his iPhone to cut a promo.

The saddest part about Shane is that if he shows up everybody will go crazy simply because they want a McMahon on AEW TV because subliminally it's all just tribalism again. Nobody has explained how itll make sense and why they are so excited about it otherwise

And no one has explained why having Shane on AEW will automatically make the show better in any way, shape or form and then praise Shane’s “booking ability”, but correct me if I’m wrong be Shane has not done any significant booking in his entire career at WWE?
@@CairnieR You are correct. Shane has never been a primary booker. He’s chipped in ideas here and there and for the most part, those ideas seemed to have worked. But he’s kind of like a consultant that you’d bring in to make something good truly great. He’s not someone that’s going to create an entire show from the ground up, or to make something bad into something decent.

I was mostly a WWF kid and they didn't have a TV title. Jim's explanation of the TV title was clear as a bell. It's exactly what WWE is doing now with their Speed Title. Timed matches only available on Twitter. That's way too concise for Tony.
That is the issue with Danielson, he has done it all & we have seen it all.

Oh Man. There were few things in Wrestling that WORKED MY LAST GOOD NERVE like watching those dang William Regal television title matches. He dominated the first 85% of the match,then the last 3 minutes the opponent beats the tar out of him,and then that same exact finish every time. 1 2 ding ding ding. 2O minute draw😖
The Continental Title is supposed to be 20 minute matches.

I think its for ratings. After Dynamite there will be like maybe like a comedy or movie people tune in for and Dynamite would get the viewers who tuned in to see the next program instead they get Dynamite and maybe Cocaine Khan thinks those viewers would tune in next week to watch Dynamite.

New Japan guys never put in shifts like All Japan guys did. They phoned it in more often than not, and only bumped on big cards in marquee matches. Every NJPW export that has transitioned to weekly American TV has been overexposed to shit by their lackluster efforts because of that.

I remember the TV Title limit was 15 minutes, special 20 minutes at times & occasionally, 30 minutes.. Several TV vs US Title matches were longer than the TV Title limit & the US champion would win after the fact just to keep the US Title..

IF Shane o Mac is coming to AEW...then for him and the new TV deal, they should do a hard reset. Change the look, ring graphics, presentation and start a new style\era of AEW. With a proper booker, stripped back titles, less flips and garbage nonsense and yes, a sports based presentation.

If you'd allow me to put on my tinfoil hat for a moment, I think WWE had an interest in Okada, but only to scare TK and were never serious about signing him. WWE must know that Okada by that point was broken down and phoning it in, and he wouldn't be up for WWE's rigorous schedule.
TK overpaying Okody is just him being a money mark. A money mark who might not realize that the wrestlers he pays millions for are just fleecing him.
They should have Shane buy RoH and re-stage the invasion storyline for the umpteenth time.

My memory of the TV title for me was the Arn Anderson title, I think I remember it being ten minutes, I watched Arn vs Z-man or Pillman every Saturday for a long time, and then later on Stephen Regal had it for a long time
Mike Rotunda stands out as the most memorable champ for me. Varsity club was the shit.
