These guys can fuckin' play, it doesn't matter what religion you're from or which country you're from, metal is metal, pure and simple, I would love to hear more from these guys in the future.
Thats the thing I love about metal is it inclusive you got people playing metal in decile 1 schools music rooms to a teenage sons metal band playing in a mansion tormenting the Christian parents I mean for fucks sake the guy who created the hard rock sound was black.
Just cos you don't agree with something, doesn't make it fascist. How about you go spend some time reading about actual fascism, then come back to us, embarrassed. I suggest looking at the Nazis, Mussolinis Italy and the views of Mosely or neonazism in the USA. Fascism like communism is an ideology that the ruling classes believed would be an alternative to a religion with ultimate respect being given the state rather than God. I would argue the USA is a hell of a lot more fascist than most religions. Corporate control, government can do no wrong, army can do no wrong, saluting flag, pledge of allegiance, massive oligarchs and business power, massive amounts of prisoners, civil discourse and riots dispelled violently etc.
+TheMetalhead678 you gotta watch their story. search for the movie in full on youtube. movie is - "heavy metal in Baghdad" it's incredible. they just put out their full album- self funded on kickstarter!
Death, war and killings are all themes that Metal bands love to sing about. These guys saw death...everyday of their lives. They lived it. They are the real deal. Respect from Melbourne, Australia. \m/
Ordered the physical copy of the film when I first read about them on rolling stone. It came signed, by the entire band. I’ve shared it with so many people
Holy fuck!! I saw the documentary from vice, and i couldn't fuckin believe it!! "A fuckin' heavy metal band from Iraq?? Holy shit, i gotta check this out". Lots of respect and love from Atlanta!!! I laughed, and was really happy when i saw they finally grew their hair out, too!! Fuckin' A, guys!!
John Saul Whitehead even in the communist countries back in the day there were a few people who got their hands on music and magazines and culture from the west and they became interested in different things but they kept it hidden like some illegal religion... some managed even to live their dreams when they got some freedom
John Saul There is tons of backlash against many of the middle east countries, but i don't feel prejudice, or ill will against anyone from there! I love the fact that there is METAL from every country on the planet, especially these guys from Iraq!! Rock on, Acrassicauda!! I will listen to lots of stuff from them!! They sound killer!!
I saw the Film "Heavy Metal in Baghdad" yesterday and I am so happy to see this band still play - headbanging, with long hair and so much power! My deepest respect from Austria!
@@marinabrom8086 can you even fathom the feeling of a meeting a musician you probably have idolized since you first heard metal giving you his guitar. Dude I would've cried tears of joy. These guys are really impressive I think.
'When the night is dawn And the haze ruled the sky The death marched through the land I heard the angels cry I crave what's mine back All that I have known Now buried beneath The garden of stones" Oh my God.... :(((((((((((( Respect from Hungary!
I loved the documentary. How can a band not be metal when bombs are falling in the background during an interview. They stay in touch with their roots, as well. They are not amazing, but they fucking worked for it. Hats off to them.
I was trying out some metal songs from a neighbouring country & I have to say Acrassicauda ROCKS! Please remember these guys are from a country where any non-traditional music is strongly discouraged and actively opposed. So proud to be from this land! It’s my turn to introduce Industrial & goth metal with an Iraqi twist, something that would make Rammstein proud :)
just watched "Heavy Metal in Baghdad" for the first time and am beyond fucking stoked as to how far Acrassicauda have come since the documentary! hails!!
So they are not so different to us, aren't they? They suffer just like us, they enjoy the good stuff like us, and they have some shit to sing about, just like all of us. CONGRATS, GUYS!
they do not suffer like us Americans are you kidding? we're greedy capitalist pigs compared to there poor economy they live in controlled in the tyrannical government.
Christian Ferreyra no not as human beings live in war torn Iraq for a little while, and you'll realize that you're wrong. these guys got death threats for doing amateur metal.. they were not allowed to be the human beings that we are..
they literally had to leave their hometown because western media is basically illegal and could've been killed for even listening to heavy metal. watch Heavy Metal in Baghdad and realize they suffer a lot more than most BECAUSE of their love for heavy metal. getting shittalked by keyboard warriors isnt quite the same as a scud missle demolishing your practice space with all your equipment in it.
The energy of METAL bring us all togheter! The song has very good elements of their culture. Like Sepultura (in the golden years), here in Brasil... Testament t-shirt in 3:45
I saw the documentary about these guys. They survived the war in Bagdad, were able to emigrate to Syria (? I think) and recorded throughout all this. These guys have paid their dues in sweat, blood and tears to follow their dream. Now THAT's Metal!
Just finished watching the doc. Heavy Metal in Baghdad....I really respected the honesty ...and I won't forget their story! Awesome song BTW!!! Rock forever./..from Ottawa, Canada!
Got to meet the band, have a smoke with Marwan and Firas after the concert on my campus. I also met Faisal and Tony, had a great laugh with them all. These guys are the nicest group of people I'd ever met, and I would give anything just to chill out with them again. It's amazing what they've been through, and they deserve more respect. Their passion is unmatched. I should also mention I heard them the day before the concert and they earned top 2nd band on my top 5. Acrassicauda, you guys rock.
Wow, I watched the documentary of these guys yesterday. I'm very glad to see such an improvement in their sound, talents, and production. This song is awesome. I hope only the best for the band's future.
This is just badass, glad to see these guys are alive and kickin' ass after what they went through, I love this song, and definitely hope they put out a full-length album with this song being featured sometime. I'd so buy it in a heartbeat.
I'm not really a fan of metal, but I just saw the documentary about these guys and was blown away. I'm really glad they've managed break out with their music.
this is what america is all about... an iraqi heavy metal band is practically unheard of... these guys escaped death to play their music - better than metallica - metallica sold out their sound
Niyaz Mumtaz Al-Mufti i mean believe me they would love to play in iraq, by the way im from kuwait and its really okay there and people are used to metal heads
I really appreciate you, guys! I saw today the documentary about you back in Baghdad, and I'm verry happy hearing that your dream came true and you are free, and play your music! You rock!!!!!!!!!! \m/
Really awesome guitar and drum work ! The oriental melodies synchronized with the hard riffs just simply kicks ass !! Greets and horns up from Germany !!!
I fucking love this song. Heard these guys first time when I watched the document "heavy metal Bagdad". I really got to respect whatever they've achieved!
These guys can fuckin' play, it doesn't matter what religion you're from or which country you're from, metal is metal, pure and simple, I would love to hear more from these guys in the future.
Religion is fascism if you believe in religion go listen to N.S.B.M.
But why did you bring that up? It's so stupid! Leave the talk of religion and race out of this because it has nothing to do with them.
@@giorgospapas3135 dude stfu you're literally the only one acting like a socialist here lol

Death, war and killings are all themes that Metal bands love to sing about. These guys saw death...everyday of their lives. They lived it. They are the real deal. Respect from Melbourne, Australia. \m/
Heavy Metal in Baghdad, brought me here. Glad these guys were able to get to the U.S. and are able to do what they love doing. GREAT fucking song too!
Recording it on Viceland right now. Trying not to watch it to avoid spoiling myself.

you should check the video where they meet hetfield and he gives them a guitar. it's amazing
@@marinabrom8086 can you even fathom the feeling of a meeting a musician you probably have idolized since you first heard metal giving you his guitar. Dude I would've cried tears of joy. These guys are really impressive I think.
Metallica is their inspiration. They've almost been arrested in the middle east for playing metal.
that riff men! 04:02 !!!
