We're revving into Part 2 of our excursion with Hayden Bently and his 79 series search into the premier 4x4 destinations and hidden tracks the Southern Flinders Ranges has to unfold, the notorious Bridle Track. We're also gearing up for an adrenaline rush with a visit to the Hayden Bentley shed and off-road race track. After tackling the Billy Goat Ridge in a thrilling beachside sprint, we begin our ascent through the captivating Port Germaine Gorge Drive, navigating northward and westward as we follow the Bridle Track 4x4 route, carving across the mountain tops towards the sea.
While it may not rank as the most challenging mountain 4WD track we've tackled, the vistas are truly breathtaking and worth every moment. The prize at the peak? A stunning overlook of Spencer Gulf followed by a swift Mountain Descent back to the earth's edge.
