I love to study the sounds of each part after listening to the entire work. I am grateful for the efforts of each musician to present a majestic performance of these great classical music❤️
In the beginning why does the Tuba player take his fingers off of the valves instead of just holding them down for longer? Is it normal to not keep any valves down when not playing like that or is it so he can keep rhythm? Maybe it's just a weird fun thing for this piece? I'm just curious, in no way hating
@@stefanobelotti7557 - Got any specs on that? I played a Bach 50OG indi from about 1993-2015 - hateed it. My Yamaha does everything I need it too, but have been wondering about getting back onto another independent. But not at any "price", only if it's really better/worth it.
@@musicofnote1 yes I found more space, more fun when I play, the low and hight registers are easier than Yamaha and the sound is really beautiful! ASAP I would like to record a video on my Adams tbb1
I'm talking about the run at about 40 seconds in, "David cum Sibylla". Is that cellos in a symphonic orchestra? I never stuck that run. Should have practiced more... 🙄
Well I suppose I’m a believer in context…. Whilst perhaps from a tuba or bass trb point of view it might seem fun… but you’re actually by no means the important part of what’s actually going. I’ve seen numerous videos like this and seems more about perhaps stroking ones ego than actually having a context to what the composer is portraying
@@jonburton1935 I understand what you mean, but this is a channel dedicated to the bass trombone. I think it's interesting to be able to listen to the third trombone part in various contexts, so you can listen and study the role.
I absolutely love how you can still hear the bass drum exploding in the background even with the trumpet on our ears
😊 the acoustic of this theatre is incredible
@@stefanobelotti7557 For real!!!
The real stars are those two ladies who don’t need no score and belting out while crossing their arms
You agree 👍🏻
I agree; they memorized the score!
Please can you adjust balance. It needs more bass trombone and tuba.
😂
As a bass trombonist, I fully agree
They have to follow the score as it was written!

Hi, it's a natural movement I don't think he wants to keep time😉
@@stefanobelotti7557 Cool thanks lol
it has basically 0 effect whether you do or don’t. i think most people see it as wasted effort.
Tuba players get the most boring parts in the entire orchestra and it helps prevent his fingers from falling asleep
@@bonerici 😂
Love that Yamaha Xeno 822(G?) you're playing on. Well, to be honest, love mine too. (grin)
Yes it’s a good horn! But next video will be on my new Adams Brass bass trombone!

What kinda tuba is that?
Tuba Miraphone Norwegian Star eb-283 😉
La tuba per Verdi! 😢
Richiesta del direttore
Love the excerpt but it would kinda be better if bass bone and tuba would play lower
Dynamics depends to conductor
Dai coro, un pochino più coinvolti :)
Eh era la prova dai 😂
Arranged for wind orchestra, the tuba has to do a lot more work! 😆
