I disagree. In Powered Up you're given an extremely small space to dodge the blocks, much smaller then what you had to work with on the old NES game. The only saving grace with PU Yellow Devil was that the blocks come in a consistent pattern (one pattern for Normal, another for Hard, he doesn't even do the 'break apart' shtick on Easy). I had to rely on my memorization to beat Yellow Devil in Hard in PU.
There are several other instances of clone battles in Megaman, what with Dark Megaman in the Battle Network series and of course Omega Zero in Zero 3. Perhaps you should cover those sometime.

No. Its Copy Robot. He confirms it few times. (also Those clones in PU are in my opinion "Holo-clones" not Copy Robot. Copy Robot is the "On the scene >:)" one
The copy robot would've probably been harder to program on the NES if it DIDN'T copy whatever weapon you were using. as it is, he's likely more of a copy-paste than you may think. Odds are even the code sees this fight as the same entity fighting itself, and both are affected by most of the code equally as a result. (hence him being unable to shoot if you're out of ammo. He uses your ammo pool and simply doesn't reduce it). If the devs wanted him to only ever use the mega buster, they'd probably have to jump through a lot of pointless hoops, making a whole new entity that simply looks the same. All things considered, this boss could've probably been used to make a two player mode if the console could handle it.
You know, it would be cool if they brought back the cloned Megaman but instead of like copying the same ability, the clone would use an ability that is the weakness to the one your using and you would take more damage due to that.
I know a game where clones of the main character are evil. In Yu-Gi-Oh Stardust Accelerator you get to face four clones and that's the hardest part of the game and one of the hardest in the entire franchise, because... 1) It's a Survival Duel, you have to face four opponents in a row without changing decks, saving the game and with 8000 LP for the four duels. 2) Your LP will carry over to the next duel, but no more than 10000 LP. 3) At least two of the clones are insanely hard. The first has a Zombie World deck, but at that point of the game, you already dealt with Zombie decks a few times, so it isn't ridiculous. The second clone has an Ice Barrier deck, so he's a pushover as long as he doesn't get at least two main deck monsters or the Synchro monsters. The last two opponents... Hoo boy! The third runs a Lightsworn deck and the last one has a Tele-DAD deck, which are the best decks you could use at that time.
Anyone notice how the pattern with Copy ProtoMan in Powered Up is similar to "BreakMan" (who is really just ProtoMan wearing a slightly different helmet) in Mega Man 3? (The only real difference is that Mega Man 3 didn't have the charge shot...)
The fangame Touhou Puppet Dance Performance does the 'copy the player' gimmick in a Pokemon-esque RPG of all things. One particular battle in that game, Satori Komeiji (whose ability is to read minds) creates a near-flawless replication of your team. Exact same moves, exact same items, exact same levels, exact same costumes. Only difference is their OTs.
I think it would be really cool that if you use a single weapon for too long they’ll switch to the one that has the advantage and will deal extra damage to YOU instead.
Isn't Powered Up!Copy Robot just doing the charge attack because you're playing as Megaman C? If you play as regular Megaman, he acts the same, I thought.

Hm? ( 0_0)!
...
Lub Lub i'm not angered, I'm relaxing right now.
eh? don't look at me that way.
7:57 i just love how the music beeps when pausing a lot
Has anyone with Super Arm ever thought of PUNCHING?
Evidently not.
Except when megaman came into smash bros he uses the super arm as his grab, there’s also the arcade which he chucks boulders.
Anyone notice how the pattern with Copy ProtoMan in Powered Up is similar to "BreakMan" (who is really just ProtoMan wearing a slightly different helmet) in Mega Man 3? (The only real difference is that Mega Man 3 didn't have the charge shot...)
I knew exactly who this was by the thumbnail
Who now?
@@rottenstinkyegg the copy robot from mega man
Nothing better than puting an _Doppelgänger_ on a game ( animes, movies... etc... ).
19:47 "Sorry, it had to be"
3:58 actually someone did that as a fangame I think. Can’t remember what it was called but it was a FPS for some strange reason...
oh the mega man doom ver game
The fangame Touhou Puppet Dance Performance does the 'copy the player' gimmick in a Pokemon-esque RPG of all things.
One particular battle in that game, Satori Komeiji (whose ability is to read minds) creates a near-flawless replication of your team. Exact same moves, exact same items, exact same levels, exact same costumes. Only difference is their OTs.
1987? the progress from the late 80s to the late 90s in games is cool as shit
Ah, good to see another boss analysis. And a Mega Man related one at that!
Copy robot: hates thieves
Copy robot: is a thief himself
.... BrUh
I love this channel
Cool, I should come up with multiphase bosses!
Imagine a 'copy kirby' boss who can use any ability that normal kirby has at will.
the king has posted. all heil
Fireman voice remembered me of boomstick from death battle
That megaman battle is basically dropkick
“Longs to fuck himself up”
And what about the fight in Classic Mode of Powered Up?
I just have one question....
Who is this Lub Lub
(Ha you thought)
I think it would be really cool that if you use a single weapon for too long they’ll switch to the one that has the advantage and will deal extra damage to YOU instead.
Awesome
You should cover epic battle fantasy 4 and 5s evil character variants. Be warned they are perhaps the hardest enemies in the game
I thought this will be an episode about scary bosses...
use gust man's abillity the ai gets confused and walks around xd
Well a Metal man ditto fight, would be pretty much metal blade spam but would last like... 5 seconds... Why is he even weak to his weapon again?
Maybe a joke, maybe a programmer error, who knows.
Isn't Powered Up!Copy Robot just doing the charge attack because you're playing as Megaman C? If you play as regular Megaman, he acts the same, I thought.
3:17 oh gosh...I wonder what he meant with that..
In Transformers Devastation, in a challenge mode You are facing clones of The Autobots, but They are limited with their starting equipment. Do they also Count as a clone boss?
Proto Man said "Sorry, it had to be."
You may know everything I'm going to do, but that's not going to help you since I know everything you're going to do! *_Strange, isn't it?!_*
1:00 Longs to fuck himself... up. I just burst in laughter
Good to see mega man in a video again
Darkmegaman from megaman battle network 5
When Dark Megaman uses Lifesword twice on you in a row...
And Mega Man DS from Battle Network 4.
