    Typical banku can be placed in ice chest for about 3 days, can same be said about the vegetable banku?

      This was my first thought for a nephew who will only eat noodles, French fries and oranges. Could you describe the flavor of the usual banku? I am not familiar with it at all.

    I made carrot banku.
    I didn't grow up eating banku. I've tried fufu but it didn't like me. I watch your channel all the time. This recipe intrigued me enough to want to try to make it. I didn't have broccoli or "purple cabbage", but I had a lot of carrots. So I made carrot banku. It was really good! I seasoned it a little more than any other traditional recipe. The hint of sweetness from the carrots really enhanced the flavor. I could eat it by itself.
    In shaa Allah, I'll definitely be making this again. 👍🏼

    This is a great way to incorporate western veggies into African diet. My only concern is the use of plastic to wrap. Since the new Bankus are hot, you may have plasticized leached into the Bankus. Eating it with Okra should be a taste of heaven. I prefer to blend all the three varieties together, as a means of eating broccoli, red and green cabbage and may add carrot and beetroot. Great cooking! Thank you

      Yes that was my only concern too; the use of plastic from something hot which I will NOT do myself when I make this delicious healthy meal.
      Thank you also for suggesting mixing the different veggies.
      That I will experiment with after trying the individual vegetables first. 🙏🏾

    Oh my God...l m sooo awwed , waaaat, what a wow... how l wish there was a voice note to dis comments section, l wld hv shouted nd asked u ... which planet r u from ooo, nana aba... oh boy, u r such a genius, gosh.. soooo creative, do u know dat l m alrdy tired of making koko out of my oat meal.. nd l barely even like de taste of oats... tnx fr teaching me another way to consume my oats without a hussle.     This is a special banku, your blender did a great job. I like the purple one made with red cabbage and second one made with spinach and broccoli. The third one is not bad at all.

P.s not very healthy wrapping hot food in plastic, it's become a go to process for many Africans and we need to desist from this habit. Please let’s go back to use the plain bowl or leaves to wrap our banks,apkle etc, more healthy and also saves mother earth from over used plastic waste. Thanks

    You know this is truly something because authenticness is believed to be followed by each letter in the word of a recipe. Especially when it's outside of one's own culture. (Personally) for me, I intend and call myself showing respect to the culture by using the spices & methods the food calls for. So this really does take limits off of what has been just (one way). Wowwie!!!! I love "red" cabbage 🤣🤣😂🤣😂🤣 purple, white, all of them are perfect.

    Hi. You're dish looks so good and I am from USA, and from Arkansas. I always want to try African and Nigerian food, and also try to fix, cook African and Nigerian food. But the only thing where I stay at we don't have those ingredients. We don't have any African and Nigerian restaurants here where I stay at. It's looks so good.
