Applying full cover decals with a nail stamper helps a lot with avoiding air bubbles and creases on the edges. If you're using smaller decals, it also helps you to see and line up exactly where you want the decal to be. :)
Love this video! Straight to the point and very detailed 😊 thank you
Whelp that was satisfying 😋
Thank you for doing this this is the most helpful video on UA-cam I have found for decals
I love it, looks amazing 👏
Lol this came at the right time! I just finished watching the decal video. Thank you for sharing!
THANK YOU 🙏🏻 u just saved my life hehe
This was a really good tutorial. I usually avoid full cover decals. Thank you 😀👍💅
They get easier the more you do.
Your videos have been helpful, thank you! Can you please show a tutorial on applying these to a practice hand as well?
I just bought some and couldn't get them to stick guess I'm not letting them get wet enough! Thanks for this it was awesome
you are so amazing
You’re saying it correctly, decal (the 1st. One you said 😉
I have terrible trouble getting a decal to lay correctly because of the curve of my nails. I’ll try your technique for applying next time to see if it helps.
What top coat for paper did u use?
Great video! Thank you! How do you get it to not peel or chip in chunks after a few days?
Enjoy the video i haven’t used decoys yet but just order some for black history month im excited
Can i used this direct tomy nail? Its gonna be hard to shape. I dont like using fake nails but loved all designs of water decals
How would you apply these to a nail that is on a hand already?
THANK YOU
I literally just came across your page researching this... and I must say you are one funny nail tech! I love it & thanks for this ❤️❤️
Great video - thank you. Love your nails and the gold gems you have on them. Do you have a video of that? Thanks.
Not yet...
Will a hairdryer help “shrink” it to the nail or na?
Where can I get some of these decals? Theses look 👏🏼
Hi! You are awesome with your videos! Thank you so much! Just curious, what do you use for a base color if your wrap is multicolored? Or do you use white base color and do a clear decal instead?
If the decal is on transparent paper you need to use a white or very light base. If they are on white decal paper your base can be any colour.
Do you have a video on how you make and seal your decals?
Your videos are very good. Thank you for sharing. I'm a retired nail pro of 40+ years and and one of the original Minx nail educators. So here are my techniques for no creasing. 2 ways to apply . Begin by applying the wrap at the tip of the nail laying it down from center to outer edges until you have covered the nail. This way you can work the crease out as you apply. This is the best method for nails that have more curve, Another easy way is to snip cuts into outer sides of decal a little before application. btw your nails are beautifully done.
I got my decals in yesterday that I ordered from you. I am in love. I’ve never used any decals before and I don’t even plan on trying out from anywhere else but you. They were so easy to use. And they turned out great. I’ve only applied the Selena decals but I can’t wait to use the others 😊. Thank you for this video
Oh wow! Thank you so much. I’m so glad you love them!
I am with you on deeecal.
How would you apply a full wrap to a natural nail? I can’t file the cuticle and sidewall area to seal it when it’s on the nail attached to a finger lol
wait you didn't talk about curing the waterslide decals. At what point do you have to cure? And for how long?

What can I put on my E-fille to make the sides smooth? The buffing block works its just really tiring when I'm doing a lot of nails. I think putting something on the efile will be easier for me.
I agree. I’m not familiar with e-files though so I cannot recommend what bit to use.
Great video! Do you think regular nails need to be buffed?
Yeah I would definitely do regular nail prep on natural nails before the basecoat step. The oils in our nails cause lifting for the products your decal is going on top of.
How do you apply this onto an actual nail? Not a press on. I’m having trouble tearing off the excess decal. I tried using rubbing alcohol and a small brush but it just makes the decal latexy.
Cut it to the shape of the nail first then use a cuticle safety bit on an e-file to carefully remove excess at the edges.
hi were did you get the matte gel top coat at
Hi I use Ugly Duckling Matte top coat!
Hey, does you base coat has a sticky layer? And do you remove the sticky layer before you put the water decal on your nails? Tfs!
Yes it has a sticky layer which is what you stick the decal to. Do not remove the sticky layer.
What brand of decal paper do you use?
I buy it off Amazon, Hayes Paper Co.
These decals dont lay flat😶
I have ones from etsy and the decal is too thick to lay down
Mine lay flat!
try cutting tiny slits around the edges !!
So i followed your steps to making them and i love it thank you! My question is i see you tug a bit and stretch it how do you keep from ripping it? Mine rip if i do that? Am i not spraying them enough? I have the same paper and same spray i would love to know what I’m doing wrong. Especially with the few wrinkles when i try to work them out it rips 🤦♀️
I would say you might be spraying them too much. They are also stretch better when they are fresh.
@@SadlerUpNails when you spray each coat do you do it like the “puddle” in your video? Or just enough to lightly coat it (thanks for answering)
Like in my video, but only one coat. I can’t remember how many coats I said to do, maybe I should make an updated video.
@@SadlerUpNails thank you I’ll try 1 “puddle” coat the video said 2. No biggie thank you so much for your help
I would also gowith deeecal
Can you make water decals with regular photo gloss paper?
No the paper would be too thick
I use foil glue to stick on the decals but i can’t smooth out the tiny ridges on the nails 😩
Maybe try base coat next time. I’ve never used foil glue.
How do you file the edge by the cuticle on a real hand...
You cut the decal to the shape of their nail first.
How do you file downwards on a client around their cuticle
On a client try to cut the decal to fit the nail first. Then I would use a bit of acetone on a detail brush to remove the excess decal.
Can u use them for gel x nails?
I am using them on gel-x nails in the video!
Thank you hun have a good day
Where can I get LV decal's from, I see everyone using them but never any links to say where to buy them?
Beautiful nails through😍
Thank you x
I just realized I'm using my husband's UA-cam!! Haha😂😂😂
Dippedinpretty have awesome designer foils decals and stickers too ❤️😍 check them out!!!
Can you please tell me why do you buff the entire decal? I understand buffing the sides to get rid of the extra paper but I don't understand why buff the whole nail. What's the point in that step?
To smooth it out if there’s any creases and add another layer of top coat to seal the edges that you filed.
Thank you so much!!!
What paper do you use
The paper is called water slide decal paper. I get it from amazon. I’ve tried the Hayes Paper brand and koala and both work well.
the nail came out so nice! but that was a lot of the decal going to waste it was so cringe🤣😂 cant you just cut off only what you need from the decal & use that? & was the white nail polish as the base color necessary since the decal has a white backing already or?
Cringe?! You can do whatever you want!
How do you do this on natural nails?
Check out my water decals playlist. I have a video applying them to natural nails.
Please post the link to your video how to apply the full decal onto natural nails. I couldn’t find it in the list. I’m particularly wondering how to trim the sides and around the cuticle.
I'm having a hard time with it wrinkling on me
Do they hold up underwater ?💧
As long as you seal them with the varnish.
And top coat twice
do you sell these
Yes! sadlerupnails.com
It's decal you was saying it right at first lol
I watched this video but wasn't sure if I watched the video on how to make decals. Turns out I did. But I didn't watch the video on how to make the foil decals. So if you're monitoring your UA-cam channel and wondering who is going through your videos? It's me! Lol! I have been wondering if I could print my name on a decal and have the decal, of course, put on a nail? But I didn't know it it was possible? Or if I'd either have to buy a nail art brush kit to write my name on a nail? Or order nails from some very kind person who understands that my name isn't common and I never see it as an option to have it on a keychain or anything in a store. But I just wanted the option of having my name on my nails. Well actually going down the length of just one accent nail. So don't mind me. I'm just trying to figure it out.
I just use Microsoft Word, so you could write your name in a nice font and print it for your nail.
@@SadlerUpNails thank you. That sounds like a great idea.
This looks really hard😭😭
It gets easier with practice!
Why not just use foil transfer this look like to much
D cal 🤦🏽♂️🙄
How big are the decals?
The ones I make fit Apres Long nails. They can be made any size if you're making them yourself.
Do you sell these decals?
Yes I do! My website is sadlerupnails.com
