I used the same IW Plastic Coat product Dave, when i got it in the mystery box in Spring. Did a cracking job on all my Subaru rubber mats. And wiped down before refitting, and had zero issues. but easy to clean each subsequent month.
I have used ‘Carpro Perl’ in the past to finish off all sorts. Depending on the typical dilution ratio you can use it for Tyres (1-1), Dashboards, Plastics and Engine bay (1-5) and even rubber mats (1-10). A great multi-use product to have in the armoury.
Thank you for the video Dave. Good tips there 👍 .Another little trick to rejuvenate the look of rubber is to rub the surface with paint thinners. It makes the rubber look like new.
Theres a few other products out there that do this like Koch Chemie Gummifix and Bowdens Own Vinyl Restorer. Unfortunately a number of us have found out the hard way why we should have stayed away from the usual oil/silicone based dressings.
Could you do a short on best removal of greasy makeup and tanning lotions please they are or seen to be very difficult to remove and not a quick fix. Thank you legend. 👍🙌
An APC is just an APC regardless, some brands make good some make terrible, find the one that works for you. I like Koch Chemie Green Star and Koch Chemie Gummyfix which is a nonslip rubber dressing. Looks like new without that glazed doughnut look and a safe non slip coating, it works well on pedalstoo. It last a long time too. Not that expensive either 🎉
@epicautomotivedetailing Would Autoglym vinyl/rubber care be good as a final cleaner on rubber mats? I like the way it works on the dash and doors, it's like dirt catches less.
It’s easier to hang the mat with a spring clamp and spray something non greasy like aerospace , working it in by hand is nice but there are far too many grooves. Protecting it in the sun is actually better give it a bit of time and will look new from sun
4:31 more slippery than politician...
Most accurate metaphor I think I've ever heard...😂
Lol 😂
The best...simple.
Thank you 🙏
That’s a great result, the mats looked awesome, thank you for the tips ❤.
Thank you Katie
00:46 exactly - a balance has to be struck!
Ace vid as always, Dave!
Thank you
Another fantastic and informative video Dave
cheers Mark

Yeah some products you can definitely get away with on rubber 👌
Great information dave! You've given me some ideas.
Thank you

Another good vid Dave, shame Leo was off sleeping today!

Yeah we all been there my friend, myself included
That brand Astonish has good stuff.
Elbow Grease also works well. Elbow Grease is excellent to remove paint.
Yeah it worked a treat for £1
Great common sense video and great results.
‘More slippery than a politician’ 😂😂
Best place to clean your rubber mats? Same place as my fell running shoes.
The bathtub
lol fair play it does the job
As long Leo approves we're good !
he sure does lol
@@epicautomotivedetailinggood!
I do the council clean. Bucket of hot water with Fairy liquid and a stiff shoe cleaning brush. Ri see down witha hose pipe / jet wash
Nothing wrong with that 👌
Noice, like to see that youve still got the TT, and surprised the Mrs hasnt whipped itnoff you yet 😂
She's got the Kia now so I'm keeping the Audi
Would have thought APC like Surfex HD at 5 to 10% sprayed on and a standard drill brush would suffice? Drill taking the effort out of it?
To be honest you don't need all that but in the odd rare occasions when it's really bad then definitely reckon it would help
Any tips on getting rid of the smell of new rubber mats?
Could you do a short on best removal of greasy makeup and tanning lotions please they are or seen to be very difficult to remove and not a quick fix. Thank you legend. 👍🙌
Sure thing 👌
@@epicautomotivedetailing thank you
4.25 mins in.more slippery than a politician 😊brilliant
100% truth lol
That slippery politician...good one. Somebody should stop using tyre dressing on them or they'll keep being a hazard
I drove the Audi this morning with plastic coat, zero slips. Was so impressed
Would baby oil work on the shining part ? I laughed so hard on the getting out of bed and gotta clean my rubber mats thought 😂😂😂 oh dear
I'm not sure personally if that's a good idea... Maybe ask P Diddy 😂
Car pro pearl is good stuff but have to get the right dilution or they can be a bit dangerous 😂,

Koch-Chemie Green Star and Koch-Chemie Gummifix :)
I did notice them but many other channels have featured that so I thought I'd go with something equally brilliant

Or you do them all in one go with APC, big car brush, and high pressure wash them, done, any rubber/vinyl trim restorer will make them look new
You brought those mats to an 11.
Hahahahahahhaahha @4:24
More slippy than a politician 🤣🤣
True facts right here 😂
Sorry to correct you but that's a bowl not a bucket.😳😂
I said it because I was looking at my line of buckets to the side of me but couldn't be arsed to refilm lol
Jetwash them 😉
This video isn't aimed at people with jet washes on this occasion
Plastic wax is just hiding the dirt with its gloss. Dirt and oxidation is still there.

No one wants to use dirty rubbers Dave 🤫🤔🫣😜
😂
