This is part 3 of 3 where I am walking through the pain and realising I probably should of done the hike over 4 or 5 days instead of 3.

Well done Liam. Some achievement doing that in just 3 days.
Thank you! Would of certainly been more enjoyable across 5 days but once I get going I just want to crack on 😅
Liam thanks so much for sharing this walk. It has brought back so many happy memories of our time walking in the Lakes ☺️ off to buy you a coffee xx
Awesome bro 👍 love the effort you put in 👏
Thanks bro
Brilliant mate, I am so proud of you and you can be very proud of yourself 💪 it has been a pleasure to join you (virtually) on this one 🙂 I hope your feet and legs aren't too knackered. Take care Liam and God bless you mate 🙏🙏🙂
Thanks Colin, and thank you for virtually joining me on this 1, although I do most of the hikes/camps solo I always think of me being with my subscribers along the journey. Take care mate.
Unbelievable, myself and a couple of other mid 50s guys are going for a record time, 7.5 days lol, longest time ever taken. ... Loved your vid and absolute hero, crazy 😮 Cheers.
Awesome achievement mate....smashed them miles day 2.
Felt your pain on that final stretch, all the achs and pains.
But you absolutely smashed it mate.well done
ATB Dan 👍 👍 👍 👍
Thanks Dan mate, glad you enjoyed the video 👍🏼
Well done Liam mate, Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience. ⛺🥾
Thanks mate 👍🏼
I'm in Caldbeck mate and you walked past my house....I even think I could hear my dog barking 🤣 I mentioned High Pike and a couple of others just a few miles west not far from that bothy a while ago on a comment. Some great camping spots and hikes round those fells. Really quiet as well. I bet you didn't walk past many if any. Anyway, well done mate, Not done it myself as yet.
Wow asif mate! I just looked back on the clip to where I had my Pringles and you could hear a dog barking lol.
Really quite around High Pike, Think I seen 1 fell runner come flying past me and that was it.
@@GoodBlokeOutdoors Yeah mate its bliss. I feel like they are my own sometimes 😊
Cracking series, I really enjoyed watching those! Just turned 50 this year and it is in the diary to do - but I plan to take a bit more time and enjoy the journey a bit longer than you, dodgy knee and ankle won't cope with that pace 😅
You’re amazing. I very much enjoyed seeing this trip. Hope you’ve recovered.
Thanks Pam, yeah all good now 😊👍🏼
Mate your a machine, very jealous of your adventures and hats off to you for getting stuff done, you and your channel is giving me the kick up the arse I need to get stuck back in, I've not done much on my channel for a while and have struggled for motivation this year, next year will be different thanks to your enthusiasm l, would love to bump into you some time on a mountain for a chat, keep at it mate, Ta Stu.
Thanks Stu, yeah its so hard sometimes to stay motivated, i’ve been in that zone for past couple weeks, cos i’ve had 3 videos from Cumbria Way trip i’ve only been out once since then.
Its the weekly videos every Monday that help keep me focused 👌🏼 but not always easy when I work full time as well.
Thanks for watching mate and hope you get back out soon.
Well done @#goodblokeoutdoors..... shine on
Thanks mate
Well earned rest my friend top quality views and another brilliant video 👍
Cheers Peter 👍🏼
Oh! Liam what a cracking video, I’d like to give you my good wishes for the brilliant achievement you’ve just done. I hope you channel just grows and grows you deserve it my friend 👍
Thank you Carol, slowly but surely it will get there if I keep going 😊
Brilliant series that mate.. keeping it real for the Bradford massive.. aye

Thanks mate, appreciate the comment!
Another top video. Keep up the hard work man. Always look forward to your content ⛺
Thanks Rob, I do my best to keep the content coming mate!
Nicely done mate
Thanks BJB
Epic set of x3 vlogs. Top marks for your determination & what an achievement. Wouldn't say there are too many people can say they have treked that in 3days. Loving your down to earth ' say it as it is' vlog style. Keep up the great content. 👍
Thanks John, yeah was tough going getting it done in 3 days, that last day I was pretty much limping along the entire day 😅.
Thanks for the comment mate, appreciate it.
Well done Liam. Them last miles looked like a proper chore, doin a bit of hobblin.. what an accomplishment tho 3 days... keep up the good work. Peace out brother 🤙
Yeah was limping for most of the last day 😅😅 think the 30 plus miles on day 2 killed me off.
Thanks for watching bro!
@@GoodBlokeOutdoors ive bin iutdoing few scrambles while theres some nice water stretches. Got to get them in before theres snow on um. 👍
We really enjoyed it too buddy. No worries.
Thanks buddy appreciate it
Epic brother!! You absalute "legend"!
Thanks brooooo
Epic journey. You found the best place to pitch in this episode. I pitched just the other side of the wall when I did Blencathra, Skiddaw and a few others during the summer
Thanks Dave, yeah i was getting a bit concerned when I couldn’t find anywhere for the last hour ( in the dark ) then stumbled across that circle I was relieved!
Thanks for watching mate.
Well done! i couldnt have done it!!
Thank you for watching and for the comment 👍🏼
Epic effort Liam brilliant as always I could see by the way you was walking you was in some discomfort. Wondering what you will get upto next?
Yes mate day 3 was pretty much limping for 26 miles but all good now 😅 No longer distance hikes planned now… have a look next year what I fancy doing.. now just gonna get out on some over nighters and look forward to some proper snow camps .
Another cracking video mate 😊
Cheers mate, thanks for watching!
Well done mate , hope your feet have recovered 🤙🤙🤙🏕️
Thanks mate, yeah all good now 🤙🏼🤙🏼 was in bits for a couple days after though 😅
Brilliant vlogs, loved watching them all. Proper slog that hike. Well done for completing it in 3 days.
Thank you, yeah day 3 I was pretty much limping from the get go 😂
Decent dude 👍👌✌️
Thanks bro
Well impressed by completing that in three days! This set of videos is the first of yours I've seen and thoroughly enjoyed them. New sub.
Thank you 👍🏼 Hopefully you can catch up on some of the back catalogue and let me know what you think
Well done mate - smashed it 👏🏽
Well done Liam, great milage 3 days is amazing 🤩 Are u planning another long distance trek
Thanks mate, not got any planned but it will more than likely be in Spring when I do any more 👍🏼 what you got planned?
Have you ever thought of the Bob Graham Round wild camp over 4/5 days. I’d love to see that!! Peace Out, you CLAG!!!
Yeah Boi! Nice one fella! I’m off to complete it in a few weeks, it’s gonna be a slop fest with all this rain 🤣
ye hae done weel Liam, guid video.
Thanks mate
Great video.. or series of videos. Really want to do that now, but over 5 days.. not three :)
Thanks Graeme, glad you liked the videos, totally recommend doing it over 5 days, if I ever do it again i’d do it over 5 and relax a bit more👍🏼
You did well, it takes a bit of discipline to "smell the roses".
I speak from experience!!
I'll be interested to see your load out...TFS cheers Alistair 👍
Yeah i’ll record a load out video, i’ve got the full list of every item i set off with on my laptop so will be easy to do a gear load out video of it all.
Thanks for watching mate
Nice work!! Get ya yoga stretches in at the end of the day and start of each morning and you shouldn’t feel a thing.
Really need to start doing this, I never do any stretches, wouldn’t know where to start! Need to get on UA-cam
@@GoodBlokeOutdoors chase mountains channel has some great tips, most you probably won’t use but I’ve picked up some good techniques which I use regularly before , during and after sport and not just long walks.
Bloody hell lad, even the Romans couldn't keep up with that!! Well done!
I'd go back Carlisle when you can to sign that book mate. Write a link for this video next to your signature n'all
❤️
looked like a tough one for you mate - anyway well on the finish and keep bangin' the vids out mate - i enjoy your content from VIetnam - are you going to do the pennine way anytime mate ?
Thanks mate, just had a look at Pennine Way… 268 miles I think i’d be dead 😅 maybe 1 day.
You walked past the end of my road [nr pirreli factory on dalston rd].
That is amazing 30 odd miles in a day you should be so proud of yourself. 83 in 3 days how long does it take afterwards for your aches to disappear?
Hi Ann, thanks for your comment, my legs were aching the following day and then I was fine but it was the blisters that took a week or 2 to fully heal.
Decent going but I think it's more enjoyable doing long walks slower to enjoy the surroundings and less pain 🤣
Totally agree, and when I do any more longer distance hikes i’m gonna chill out and take it easy.
Yeah, stone circle is a sheepfold.
Thanks mate, first person thats mentioned that.
Try Magnesium for the cramp or adjust your diet.
Yeah diet needs sorting really mate… If i didn’t hike often and have an active full time job i’d be a big lad for sure. 😅
I use bananas and dates. For cramp. Expat in Oz 'ere thanks for taking me to places I walked in my younger days.@@GoodBlokeOutdoors
When exactly did you hike the Cumbria Way? I am planning on walking it next March :) Would you recommend going in Spring?
October 9th, 10th, 11th…
Spring would be perfect I think 😊 Maybe try go early spring before the insects and bugs come out.
Can we all come for a walk and camp out? 🎉 be well funny
f hell mate..i aint hiked no where for 8 week or more, until today did a baby one 8 mile and my legs are aching abit lol so i imagine the pain your in
这才叫登山!!
Nice one our kid. I lug about 15kg more than you coz I'm fat. Not trail mix 😉
Hahaha my winter gear is pretty heavy but try to cut it down to essentials only for the multi day hikes.
Thanks for watching mate.
I'd say well done for hiking from Ulverston to Carlisle but you have not actually done the Cumbria Way.
Thanks buddy
