I just got this in the mail! Takes a minute to scan, definitely not 25 seconds, but it's really neat.

Thanks, the card comes with a QR code printed on the back that redirects to the Pantone website, requires you to sign up, then gives a page that has nothing to do with the Color Match Card. ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE.

BUYERS BEWARE! this doesn't work at all with modern devices because their app developers have to manually set your device as compatible. Read the device compatibility list carefully because they are two years behind on what should be supported devices. Very upsetting that they are years behind in support for this product and hide the compatibility list at the bottom of the product page.

    Hallo pantone. This is awesome.
I was order the card but the application doesn't work at my android Samsung A52S 5G (picture attached). Kindly need your updated version application ASAP for my daily work using pantone. Please make the app friendly user.

Please make this compatible with a Google Pixel 7 Pro!! Luckily my card came free with a package I purchased but I can't use it! Surely it shouldn't be so difficult to make it usable on all devices. Even contacted pantone assistants and they said that there is no plan to update the devices any time soon. Ugh!!

Even a cheap colorimeter from AliExpress does a better job, and there are plenty free converters from CIELAB to the different Pantone, RAL etc.

Be careful when you buy the pantone card, its not for every device. Pantone should really make an effort to make this card for every designer in the world because the list of devices compactable in Brazil are so expensive that my card is just a decoration peace next to my books.
    Pantone do better please!

Good idea for an auto color matching method, but I doubt it'll execute as planned because there're just too many pitfall.
First there's the lighting factor, the sampling photo taken needs to be bright enough to see all the patches on the card with no ambient light. Then there's the factor of the image quality produced by the phones, since brands added their own post processing filters to the image. So even though you may have taken the photo in good lighting environment, you many still not be able to see all the patches visually because of the different curves applied to the final image. A solution to that is to shoot it in raw, but how many phones does it?
And finally, 66 color patches matching is definitely not enough to give accurate reading for graphic design works. It should work on real life objects but that's only it.

The cards are printed in ink, not in the actual paint color, so...
