I saw the link but may need a way to convert SIDs to MP3s (I'm using a Mac but may be able to get Linux). Incidentally, may I use this remix as my UA-cam theme song?
sidplay2 is what I use. works fine both on my Windows and my Linux machine. You'll probably not be surprised to find that there's no Mac build.
And yes, you may use almost everything I post for whatever purpose you wish as long as it's non-commercial and credit is given. The only exceptions are original songs, but I usually keep those off UA-cam.

Why is this not on remix.kwed.org(the headquarter of C64-remixes)? There's only one Metal Warrior-remix there, and that's by Cadaver himself.
My guess is I have to submit it myself and that's why it's not on there. I think the mix and instrumentation in these old songs are horrendous so I might go back and re-do a couple of them eventually. I'll look into other venues at that point.

Leads, rhythm are guitars. Bass is a regular picked bass. Synth brass and SID chip for backing synths...

Open a console with Admin privileges and CD to c:\Python27\Scripts
run "pip youtube-dl"
add c:\Python27\Scripts to your system's PATH environment variable

That's either because I'm mentally handicapped or because the download limit was reached. At some point I'm going to make a folder for old uploads to make sure they're still available to those who want them, but I'm fat.

What is Metal Warrior?
A Commodore 64 game series. Go to cadaver.homeftp.net/ to get a hold of both games and soundtracks. If you're just curious you can search youtube for Metal Warrior C64 longplay.
The games are pretty good, but what really stands out are the soundtracks, which rank among the best video game music ever written in my humble opinion.
