I really like the use of negative space in the beat. The way it skips almost musically is like the way the manga always shows the moments before and after Guts swings his sword. Thus making making the swing itself feel lightning fast. The skips in the song are as close to reprosenting that with music as one could hope for. Brilliant!
As of this day, May 19 of 2023 on a Friday, I am officially starting the berserk series. I hope to enjoy this series to its fullest while blasting this song at every fight scene.
I've never watched Anime or read any Manga or comic books before and after seeing so many people online praising Berserk so much and giving it credit for inspiring so much of modern dark fantasy that I recently decided to tip my toes in this genre and decided to start reading it and I am in absolute awe of Kentaro Miura's creation! Now almost everywhere I look I see his influence. May his soul rest in heaven!

Before 2012 Jojo was seen as an unadaptable manga, no one thought that it was possible to capture Araki's style well in the anime form. But eventually we were able to get an anime that does bring out the uniqueness of the original. I still hope that Berserk is just undergoing the same thing. I would love to see it get the good anime adaptation that it deserves.
It has very dire chance because usually adaptations are for making manga know through out the world but BERSERK is the best selling manga of Japan for many years so they will not throw away any more money even for the fans
@@syedmuhammadfasihhaider222 That might be the case in japan, but nowadays big studios often have the western audience in mind too, because anime is pretty big in the west right now. With that said, most of the western anime fans don't actually bother to read the manga, it's more than not preferred to just consume the animated content. Therefore, if they want to capture the western audience in a larger scale, an anime is the way to go. And they know that, which is why they tried multiple times, but as of right now, none of the adaptations is on the level, or even close, to the source material. So, hopefully, in the future, it happened with JoJo (Which was also extremely popular in Japan, specially 10 years ago.), and due to it's adaptation, it is nowadays popular in the west too. So, let us hope for the best :3
@@rango962 The adaptation in the 90's was fine, it was definitely better than what we got later on, but the manga is still far better. In JoJo, however, you have a beloved manga, with a failed first attempt at an anime, but that later on got an adaptation that is just as amazing as the manga. We can only hope Berserk gets the same treatment one day.
Isnt it funny that even a huge Manga like JoJos needed an Anime adaptation to really blow up in the rest of the world...and then there is Berserk. Where almost every Anime adaption sucks but the source material is sooooooo freaking good that people just accept reading the Manga. And the fanbase just keeps getting bigger lmfao. Not gonna lie. For all those who worry that Berserk may be ending, one of Miura's assistants/apprentices has indicated he is willing to continue and finish his work with notes left behind by him, should their publishers give the go ahead. In its own way, I think that's sort of beautiful: not because of Miura's unfortunate passing or because he never got to see the end of his own work, but because part of what he created revolves around the hopeless and inevitability of fate, but still keeps the faint hope that we struggle onward despite that, in the hope that one day, with enough small gestures and time, we can change a broken world for the better. Fighting against inevitability...sounds like a perfect analogy for his own work, to be completed by those who knew and respected him best. I can't think of a better way for someone to be honoured. RIP, Kentaro Miura.
It reminds me of my own philosophy. We all live and die, the best we can do is pass on what we have to others. I hope that the apprentice learnt well from his master, because that is the highest form of achievement, to be able to replicate your own skills in someone else.

Berserk is disturbing and depressing only to the outside viewer. Anybody who has watched or read Berserk knows full well the manga is heavily nuanced, and deep down is about hope, justice, family, honor and sacrifice, and learning to live in a world that doesn't want you in it. It's a manga/anime where some of the most surreal horror can exist mere panels from the most emotional and sentimental plot threads I have ever witnessed. Not reading/watching Berserk is honestly doing yourself a major disservice. It's like not watching Star Wars at some point in your life. Berserk is a work of art, and its only 65% finished.
This is how to convince someone to give the thing you like a chance people. I'm still not sure if I'll read it/watch it but now I am more likely to give it a chance then I was before.

Never got around to SAO, but Berserk was the series that got me into manga, along with Hellsing and OP. I consider these quality series. However, people have tried to get me to read SAO and Fairy Tale. I can't say that I'm too eager to get into either.

Maybe another 40 chapters into the future (i.e. something like the year 2050), but so far Guts has exclusively killed the bad monsters - trolls, accursed spirits, rogue apostles, and the like. About the only ones Guts killed which weren't blatantly bad influences on the world would be Mozgus (the cube cosplaying as a priest) and his followers.

Before 2012 Jojo was seen as an unadaptable manga, no one thought that it was possible to capture Araki's style well in the anime form.
But eventually we were able to get an anime that does bring out the uniqueness of the original.
I still hope that Berserk is just undergoing the same thing.
I would love to see it get the good anime adaptation that it deserves.
It has very dire chance because usually adaptations are for making manga know through out the world but BERSERK is the best selling manga of Japan for many years so they will not throw away any more money even for the fans
@@syedmuhammadfasihhaider222 That might be the case in japan, but nowadays big studios often have the western audience in mind too, because anime is pretty big in the west right now.
With that said, most of the western anime fans don't actually bother to read the manga, it's more than not preferred to just consume the animated content.
Therefore, if they want to capture the western audience in a larger scale, an anime is the way to go.
And they know that, which is why they tried multiple times, but as of right now, none of the adaptations is on the level, or even close, to the source material.
So, hopefully, in the future, it happened with JoJo (Which was also extremely popular in Japan, specially 10 years ago.), and due to it's adaptation, it is nowadays popular in the west too.
So, let us hope for the best :3

@@rango962 The adaptation in the 90's was fine, it was definitely better than what we got later on, but the manga is still far better.
In JoJo, however, you have a beloved manga, with a failed first attempt at an anime, but that later on got an adaptation that is just as amazing as the manga.
We can only hope Berserk gets the same treatment one day.

For all those who worry that Berserk may be ending, one of Miura's assistants/apprentices has indicated he is willing to continue and finish his work with notes left behind by him, should their publishers give the go ahead. In its own way, I think that's sort of beautiful: not because of Miura's unfortunate passing or because he never got to see the end of his own work, but because part of what he created revolves around the hopeless and inevitability of fate, but still keeps the faint hope that we struggle onward despite that, in the hope that one day, with enough small gestures and time, we can change a broken world for the better.
Fighting against inevitability...sounds like a perfect analogy for his own work, to be completed by those who knew and respected him best. I can't think of a better way for someone to be honoured.
RIP, Kentaro Miura.

Last time i paid attention to the views on this video, it was at 2 million.
Berserk is disturbing and depressing only to the outside viewer. Anybody who has watched or read Berserk knows full well the manga is heavily nuanced, and deep down is about hope, justice, family, honor and sacrifice, and learning to live in a world that doesn't want you in it. It's a manga/anime where some of the most surreal horror can exist mere panels from the most emotional and sentimental plot threads I have ever witnessed.
Not reading/watching Berserk is honestly doing yourself a major disservice. It's like not watching Star Wars at some point in your life. Berserk is a work of art, and its only 65% finished.
This is how to convince someone to give the thing you like a chance people. I'm still not sure if I'll read it/watch it but now I am more likely to give it a chance then I was before.

I have never read a manga before Berserk and i always thought that i wont enjoy it cuz it is not animated, so i watched the anime than i had to read the manga cuz of the story and i have to say that the manga is phenomenal. It can be disturbing but like the guy above me said it is not what berserk is about.

Never got around to SAO, but Berserk was the series that got me into manga, along with Hellsing and OP. I consider these quality series. However, people have tried to get me to read SAO and Fairy Tale. I can't say that I'm too eager to get into either.

Maybe another 40 chapters into the future (i.e. something like the year 2050), but so far Guts has exclusively killed the bad monsters - trolls, accursed spirits, rogue apostles, and the like. About the only ones Guts killed which weren't blatantly bad influences on the world would be Mozgus (the cube cosplaying as a priest) and his followers.
