Hello and welcome to my channel Sew Little Time where I share all of my sewing makes, charity shop upcycles, knitting, crochet and craft projects. I also include a little of my daily life.

I think when you've been sewing for a while, you have to stop and rake stock. Otherwise, like you say, you end up with loads of fabric, you love, but isn't what you need. 😊
Absolutely! I definitely need to have a sort through my fabric and see what needs using for the next season! I enjoyed making the pin cushions xx
I love the pin cushions, next time you run out of the filling, use fabric scraps, that is what I do with all the fabric scraps I have, sometimes I also use to fill toys that I do for my dog.

Thank you for the quite clear tutorial on making these pincushions. A few years ago (after 65 years of sewing) I became a pincushion user rather than pinboxes. Pincushions abound in my home now, yet I always seem to be looking for one nearby. 😄

I love your daily chats and I cannot believe that it is 14 years since you were 30. I kept thinking "No, she meant to say 4 years, not 14 years, surely". 😍 I know exactly what you mean about slightly dressier winter frocks - we get down to -8c (sometimes even -12c) and I struggled for years to get away from constantly wearing wool trousers in the cold months. Jersey/fleece fabrics here are not only quite expensive, they are also rather thin, not offering much warmth at all. I also don't like the way they tend to cling to the bits I'd rather hide 😆 So I have been making wool or wool blend dresses that I can wear with nice thick tights. My sewing friend made a gorgeous simple black wool dress and then sewed an embroidered organza overdress in a vibrant teal - it's dressy enough to wear to a formal dinner, but she can also wear it without the teal overdress and instead jazz it up with lovely shawls and scarves. That's on my wish list. I've also made a couple of sleeveless shirt dresses in very heavy cotton, and lined, that I can wear a nice warm skivvy under, and again the tights - they are almost warmer than the wool and there's much more variety in colour and prints. Down here heavy cotton is cheaper than fleece and much more durable too. I'll hear you tomorrow ☺
Oh I love the sound of your friends outfit! I agree, I find wearing dresses with tights much warmer than jeans etc. lol thank you, I have a baby face which is now working in my favour 😜. So glad you’re enjoying my videos for this month xx
If you put a piece of steel wool pot scrubber into your pincushion it will sharpen your pins and needles.

So many vloggers are wearing ready to wear for Xmas parties! Clearly it is a gap lots of people have! I'm the opposite- I have a cupboard full of dresses but not enough nights out! Lololo! X

@sewlittletime long sleeve partying is harder but necessary at the moment!! Peony, Davenport and the Avenir (made into a dress) would be faves this year!!! X
