@james harm Wait a second, you DON'T get taught how to play once you enter the NFL? Are you sure? I guarantee if Romo was brand new in the NFL with Garrett and Kellen Moore coaching him he wouldn't even be close to progressing like he did with Parcells. I truly believe that. Romo was a gunslinger and Dak needs to adapt his skills more towards that.
@james harm I agree with a lot of what you wrote. Dak and the offensive line need to be consistent. Back in 2016 the whole offensive line was healthy and their offense was one of the best in the league. Last year and this year the offensive line has not been healthy and they suck in the red zone.

You did your best Tony as life long Cowboy fan you deserve a huge Thank You..............Whitten was great at Tennessee and he is just as good with my Cowboys......
If Romo started in 2016 and 2017, they would have two Super Bowl appearances. I'd say the same thing about 2018 too -- but they might just make a Super Bowl appearance this year sans Romo.
Man, how I wish Romo was 24 yrs old and our 🌟ing Qb for the 2019-2020 season. I truly believe that he would drive us to the Super Bowl with our defense and surrounding cast of characters on offense. I hope and pray Dak will get us there! I just really enjoyed watching Tony work his magic with what he had to work with, I can just imagine how dominant of a team we would be with him reading defenses on this year's squad.
Notice that T.O. didn't run over and join 'em all in the end zone with Witten after the TD? T.O. was a GREAT receiver, but he never quite fit in there.
He was wide open the saftey shaded to Witten Romo forced that ball to Witten. But I get it the dude had fifteen catches because he was one on one with a linebacker all day. Why? Terrell Owens. The saftey shaded TO all day.
Not gonna lie, originally Jerry Jones WAS helpful (he went and got Deion "Primetime" Sanders in a blockbuster trade when the team didn't want to) and managed the team well. His injuries prevented him to fulfilling his dream here in Dallas. Let's pay him back within the NFL rules of course and get him a ring and Witten.
Romo never played against such a weak schedule. 93/114/3 win/loss/tie combined record of Cowboy opponents in Dak's rookie year. That was with the Steelers and Packers winning out their last 6 games too. That means that 117 QBs didn't lose the same teams Dak "beat" but they did it without the top running game in football. Only the Giants had a winning record when the played the Cowboys that year and they swept the Cowboys. The Steelers were at .500 and got beat with a clutch handoff to Ezekiel Elliott. Strength of Schedule was completely ignored because of Dak's race and Steven Jone's jealousy of Tony Romo, the son Jerry always wanted.
Jason Witten 15 catches over 100 yards rec with the GAME WINNING TD!!! What a game Romo and Witten were one of a kind!!! Witten is the best all around TE ever and still going strong. Go Dallas!!!
Was at this game with some Cowboys fans/friends from Dallas. I didn't have any rooting interest in this game, but it was very entertaining. Felt really bad for this little kid who was a Lions fan. He was so dejected when the Cowboys scored. Nice stadium too.
I grew up somewhere else and moved to Dallas after college. I’m not really a Cowboys fan, but it makes my friends and my in-laws happy when they win so I’m kind of neutral towards them. I was watching my team play in a bar at the same time this game was going on. My game ended and I hung around to watch the end of this one. The Cowboys pulled this game out of their rear ends. Detroit led the whole game and every time Dallas got close, the Lions would make another couple plays to keep them at bay. It was the kind of game where 6 or 7 things had to happen to the Lions in a specific order for them to lose the game and all of them happened. Finally the Cowboys weaseled out this win at the very end and the bar went nuts. I turned to a guy standing next to me and said, “Games like this are why people hate the Cowboys.”
We gave up our best chance at a super bowl benching Romo and keeping the rookie on the field. I've always been a Romo fan and unlike a lot of cowboys fans I'm not sold on Dak Prescott. If you watch game tape the running game and the offensive line and even Dez Bryant knocking down balls like he's playing cornerback hid a lot of mistakes from Dak Prescott and for some reason people don't want to admit it. We saw it last year without a Zeke in the lineup dak looks like a dear in the headlights. Dak Prescott has been compared to Donovan McNabb, to me I've said this before I hurt anyone else saying it he's a poor man's Donovan McNabb and the only reason I said that in the beginning was because he doesn't have the arm Donovan McNabb have but if you look at game tape they both run the same. They have that weird stance where their feet go out instead of straight. Worst thing Jerry Jones ever did was not putting Romo back under Center in 2016 and never building a super bowl-caliber team around Tony Romo. All of the years that Romo was a cowboy, the Cowboys would have been the Browns without Romo
Spot on. I'm a Cowboys fan as well . In the middle of Dak's rookie run under center I saw him getting lucky more than a few times with dropped ints that hit defenders right in their hands. The moment it was announced that Tony wouldn't start again because of the "hot hand" that Dak had, I knew they had flushed the SB that season down the toilet. Tony would've shredded that Packers D early, run the time of in the second half, and then onto the NFCCG at the very least. Smh.
Funny seems like nobody appreciated romo until 2years ago smdh. Felt like i was the only one defending him here in dallas, It's yalls fault along with the media why he's gone. I was a day 1 fan of romo because I saw how he had to carry us from the get go. From shitty coaches to shitty defense to shitty oline and shitty overall team... I was there rootin for him
Pretty much the same thing going on with this current team, because Dallas never plays aggressive to try and put the game out of reach, instead always playing from behind to try and decide the game.

Then Sham says something about it being kicked by Detroit maybe had something to do with it. This is your play by play and your expert analyst of the game. Really?
It’s crazy because everyone loves when romo has a game winning drive but hates on Dak.🤦🏾♂️ Romo has 29 game winning drives Dak has 14 or 15 I think and he’s going into his 4th year
Idk about hate. But because he has a stacked team on all 3 sides it's expected. Dak gets all the excuses romo never got when romo had a way less talented team. Romo never had a stacked team on all 3 sides. Maybe on offense or defense but never at the complete same time. It was either the offense is OK but defense sucked, or defense was good but offense sucked.
This would be the one of MANY comeback drives for Tony Romo
many many many many
Thank you, Tony. may not have a ring but dammit, you gave us some awesome moments

He kinda is clutch it's just he misses open tds
I'm sure Dak could choke in the playoffs, glad he hasn't yet though.
Joshua Wood but you’ll be the first one cheering if they’re successful in the playoffs. Get off your high horse Asshole!
Shannon Sharpe they don’t like other quarterbacks who will replace the greats in the future.
Those Lions black jerseys were The Shit.
Dak will never be able to do this! Romo >>>> Dak
Lions #53 have butter Fingers for not closing out the game with the Fumble
glad this is brad and babe. the original commentators were buck and aikman.
Is that Rod Marinelli?!
Captain Clutch Romo !
Lmao rob was the Detroits defensive coordinator back then 😂😂😂😂
