Mercedes 280 E W 123 Solido No. 47 full renovation. Diecast model toy.

The French company Solido was famous for its very refined and solid models. Already in the 1960s they were very technologically advanced. They had impeccable suspension and many details. The Mercedes model presented in this video comes from 1976. This is one of the very well-made models. My copy was hand-painted by the previous owner. It had no badge on the radiator grille and one rear combination lamp. I decided to make a copy of these lamps based on very similar lamps from the Mercedes 350 and fill in all the other gaps, including a very nice box with a display inside. Excelent paint job. I have that car in the real life. It has been with my family for 17 years. It hasn't given us too many mechanic issues because those engines were made to last forever. Mine is a 200 gasoline engine. And its color it's beige. Normally the color of these cars was beige. So hands down this is the best MB ever.

I didn't know this model, and like you say - it's very well made, surprisingly well for a 1976-model. The hood-release mechanism was a very clever idea. At this time, their competitors had more or less all either gone out of business or massively simplified their models and surely this must be one of the last from Solido before they too went into decline.
I love the way you straightened the bent axle, so simple and logical, really, but I'm sure most people would never have thought of it.

Kruca bomba... przypomniał mi się mój czarny Mercedes. Dostałem go jakoś w 1978 i teraz zachodzę w głowę czy to nie był taki właśnie :) Pamiętam go już bez pudełka i lekko sfatygowanego więc niewykluczone, że mogłem go odziedziczyć po jednym wujku co był może 10 lat starszy ode mnie :)

Podobnym 123 220 roczn. 79 przywiozłem Żonę i Syna z Centrum Zdrowia Matki Polki do domu. Potem miałem 123 200 też "dobre" . Dzięki i pozdrawiam Cię Pawle!👽🖖Mój był w kolorze , który dobrał Szwagier / daltonista/ błękitno - srebrny! Wtedy Jego beczki były słynne na północ od Wa-wy. Naprawdę!!! To DuncanMcCleoud. Although GLOSSY isn't the ORIGINAL finish, like with REAL cars, I think itvis sometimes nice to experiment with something different, and it "personalises" it! I saw a BMW 2 door sports Coupe in MATT finish plum colour - the OPPOSITE of the situation here! Matt versus Shiny. It's up to individual taste!

Ja klar, der Vorbesitzer hat es ohne Grundierung lackiert, deshalb blätterte der Lack ab, aber die Schraube ist werkseitig hergestellt, da dieses Modell verschraubt war

ist ein wirklich schönes Modell geworden, einen kleinen Makel hat er aber, die hintere Stoßstange ist verkehrt herum montiert ! das i Tüpfelchen wäre dann noch wenn er die Chromleisten unter den Rückleuchten noch gemacht hätte die der 280E im Org. hat, wenn er schon die vorderen Blinker auch orange macht , ansonsten Top Arbeit😉😊👍👍👍 ich hatte selbst mal einen 280E in dieser Farbe im Original 1:1 !
